so basically, in asking muslim women to remover their veils when speaking to him, jack straw was in the right wasnt he? if the veil obscures the face then it makes communication difficult.

and if, as the MCB says Britain must integrate them and make muslims comfortable then why cnt they meet us halfway with a few things like this?

perhaps I'm wrong, but maybe there is more to to it than not being able to see their faces, which is disconcerting in the least,
and if the british were as sensitive as others! it could be perhaps called rude! but just think how easy it would be to carry firearms or indeed bombs, under all that clothing, and can they be searched on the spot not on your life!!!

It's the equivalent of trying to have a conversation with someone who is hiding in the bushes... where they can see you but you can't see them. Not what I'd consider very friendly at all.

Many Muslim women were forced to put those veils on, by the Mujaheddin they were forced to marry in Islamic Bosnia, "thanks" to the West backing it.
