Discounting investment houses, it may be the Burj Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Scheduled for completion in 2008, the Tower will be the world's tallest building at an estimated cost of 8 Billion dollars. It will be a multi-purpose skyscraper with an estimated height of 808 meters, or 2,650 feet, and with 124 floors. Apparently for competitive reasons, the official height is being kept under wraps, but rumor has it that it will eventually be higher than these estimates.
It will have the usual assortments of 'firsts", including the world's fastest elevator.(Probably will be the equivalent of a ride on Disney's Magic Mountain.)
