The above is the headline Q. This is the full-version Q: Is it altruism if the US gov't helps victims of Katrina back on their feet by restoring the needed public infrastructure of the towns,cities ,counties, & parishes of LA, MS & AL? The people whose lives were impacted by Katrina & Rita & who were forced to leave their homes & businesses, want to go home but many can't until the gov't commits to & begins the effort to restore in earnest the public services necessary for people to commit to living temporarily in FEMA trailers while their homes are rebuilt. Public services from water to electricity to garbage/debris removal, police enforcement, public transportation, public housing, medical facilities, & education facilities that were all damaged or destroyed by Katrina & the Levee failures, are the necessary supporting infrastructure of daily life in any city. How can the gov't at all levels, Federal,State & Local, across the Gulf Coast think they can pretend otherwise. TWH 08282006

Howard Dean once again has made one of his "puzzling" utterances at his impromtu Press Conference, in Santa Fe:

From the densley packed Press room a muffled question came from the rear. Dr. Dean heard to be asked asked what he thought about ..."Aliens".

Howard Dean immediately launched into an animated diatribe on the "Roswell Saucer Crash" incident:

"I know everyone is still wondering about that whole crash and Air Force Blue Book investigation, well I want you all to know that I also think the goverment is hiding lots and when we win in '08
I'll personally do my best to head up and encourage full disclosure..." He was cut short abruptly by an Aide who told him the question was about " 'Illegal Aliens' " not the Extraterrestrial variety!

Mr. Dean turned and strode out abruptly.

i m a graduate from JMI University in Ist Division.I have done 15 days workshop in news reading & anchoring But they dont provide the job in new s reading channels. Last april i did it . This new stamp has no English on it except for price of stamp. The stamp clearly (in Muslim language) commemorates a very high holy day. Do we now cater to Muslims? Is this proper for us to honor Muslims who have killed many thousands of Americans all over the world? I am personally furious over this show of stupidity by our postal service. How do you feel?
