i dont want to discourage u but it might be very difficult for u to get a job as an anchor rightnow.. i've worked in a news channel for more than a yr and it requires a lot of experience to become an anchor.. i'll tell u how to get into it-
1. do research first.. look for new channels which are bout to start.. it easier to get a job in a channel which has not yet come..
2. try in doordarshan.. try might keep u part time as of now
3. if u really want to get into a big established news channel then a 15 day workshop isnt enough coz u need to have a degree or a diploma in journalism but u still can get into them if u have experience or somebody's reference..

lastly dont expect them to give u a job at first go .. they might keep u as an intern also... all will take time.. ur first goal should be to get into a channel in any post then with time u can tell then u are interested in anchoring and if u pass their audition then you'll be an anchor .. dont lose hope n patience if u really wanna get into this field.. its lot of hard work!! best of luck

Steps to get the job you ever wanted :

Take a Pen and a Paper
List out all the TV Channel ( by search )
Mention the Location of the Main Office of the TV channels and ascertain whether you can reach there
Contact them by telephone, email, faxes, letters for an appointment
Express your intention why you want to meet them
Never send your CV to them while you ask for an appointment
Draft a Schedule to visit them
Try to know who is the person incharge for recruitment and you should know who is the ultimate authority to recruit.
Try to know their religious adherence.
Try to influence them by your contacts of their community - like recommendations.
That is the only way I find.

Donot get disheartened.
Leave those News channels of T.V.
I will give you an option if you are in listening mode.
Concentrate on Radio first. Go to AIR office at Delhi.
and ask for an arrangement of Audition (for voice test). And you are through to the next level of interview.
Be positive in life and you will get fresh chances daily.
