Last time I went for my annual exam I had to sit in a chair with my feet in cups at the base. They raised up it and then tilted it backwards and the seat fell away and my ankles were near the ceiling. Bring back the stirrup couch I say. Has anone else had to use one of these chairs?

I m 29, single, no child. Recently my USG test result is showing tht I m having an enlarged uterous with some collection in it and I ve got PID as well. I m having some medicined for PID. Doctor is recomending me to get a child ASAP (if i ve any plan for so). But i want to wait another 3/4 yers to take a baby. Can any body tell me under this situation can i wait such long or not?

The first time I had a pap smear I had to lie on a couch and the Dr pulled out footrests from the bottom of the couch. But this year I was at a different doctor and this time I had my legs raised higher, they were in loops hanging from poles at the end of the bed, the nurse clipped me up and took my legs down afterwards. She said these were lithotomy stirrups and were easier for the Dr. I preferred the first sort though. I just wondered which kind are normal?

I am SO scared, I thought they would just lookbetween my legs that was bad enuf! Do you have to be opened up? How can they do that, how do you have to lie for them to do that? Are you naked?

I was given the drug Cipro by a doctor after I told her I had bacterial vaginosis and vaginitis. She was convinced I had an STD and I didn't.

Anyways this was back in March of 07 and after the medication I noticed that my bowels were loose and I couldn't hold it in. Then when that went away anytime I'd go #2 it felt like rocks were in my anus.

Its gotten just a little bit better, but now (Sept '07) everytime I go #2 I get heartburn and the rock feeling comes back all at once. After I'm done I have to lie down because its painful to walk after I wipe becase it burns and itches.

Was this because of the Cipro or something else? What could it be? I don't want to go back to the doctor's :( BTW I'm a 19 y/o female and I've never had anal sex.

This evening, as I was changing to go to bed, I noticed a painful lump in my breast. It appears to be fluid inside of it. From what I have read online, it sounds like it might be a cyst, but I am not entirely sure. It is around the areola and rather painful. If it helps, I just turned 25 years old and my period is due to start in the middle of next week. I plan on visiting a doctor, but my doctor is not in tomorrow and my insurance won't cover something that they don't see as being an emergency for me to go elsewhere (it is graduate student insurance, I am supposed to visit student health first, but they aren't in until Monday). I am just trying to find out more info to hopefully make myself realize it is either a cyst or it isn't. If it isn't, what else it might be?

One of my inner vaginal lips is really swollen. i have never had unprotected sex, i haven't had sex in 3 weeks, and i get tested at planned parenthood once a month.. does anybody know whats wrong. i have a picture if it would help.. just ask... i'm scared. my doctors are out of town for a week, just thought should ask my peers first... please help

I have asked previous questions regarding my symptoms, but have yet to find a definite answer maybe someone with medical knowledge can help me understand what these test results mean.
First off, I have been very irregular in my menses for about three years now, One year no cycle at all, two years heavy bleeding w/out any days off, then my doctor gave me progesterone this past April and still no cycle. I have also been gettin bad headaches on a daily basis, bad lower stomach pain on a daily basis, I had a cyst on my right ovary and my motor skills are completely off lately, I feel like a child trying to learn how to coordinate myself all over again...blah.
Anyways, sorry to get off track, recently my hormone test results just came back in and I haven't a clue what any of it means. My FSH is 6, LH is 8.3, TSH is 1.95 and glucose is 125, and I have an abnormal trace of ketones in urinalysis, but am having difficulty losing weight. Please can anyone help me with an explaination?

i have had severe endometriosis since i was a teenager (12yrs ago)...
i have been flooding major for 13 days now. and im tired , dizzy and feeling feint.. i went to a new GP (doctor) and she gave me primulut n to stop the period.. my average length for a period is 4 to 5 days.. only now its not working its getting heavier.. what can i do? im not married and i dont want kids..
and there is a feeling of a painful pressure in my pelvis, ive been told im white as a sheet by my mother...

since i started my period when i was twelve, ive been pretty regular, about 34-36 days apart. i have never missed a period, just been a few days late, and that was really only my first two or three. but its been over 50 days since my last period and im getting worried. im only thirteen so pregnancy isnt a possiblility. umm i havent been exercising more than usual, and i havent changed my diet. i started an antibiotic the other day but that was like 10 days after i missed my period so i dont think that could be related to me missing it
idk it could be nothing i just worry bout these kinds of things. and is it ok to wear a pad even when you arent on your period?
and how long can i wear it if im not bleeding? im just worried ill start in the middle of my soccer game tomorrow or something

I went off Birth control about 7 months ago and ive never had sex before. My family has a history of Fibroid..and i had heavy bleeding for exactly 32 days now. I know i need to go to an OBGYN but I just wanted to know what are teh possibilities that it could be a fibroid. I have heavy cramps and bleeding..my mother isnt lettting me use tampons any more cause ive gone through an 80 pack in a month and i belive that dangerous. What do i do..?

Should I get a check-up ASAP about my very irregular menstrual cycle? I don't have a regular schedule, I don't even bother counting the days. Is that bad? This was my situation ever since the first time I had my period - 6 years ago. Should I be concerned about this and see a doctor or something?

i know there not real centipedes, but they look like them. There tiny little bugs in my vagina and pubic hair.iI tried spraying them with ant spray (its the only bug spray i had) will that work? i need to know if i should get another kind of thing to get rid of them or not. they feel really icky and im afraid they will climb in there and i wont be able to get them all out.

Last night my boyfriend came over and we had sex (with a condom). Immediately after sex, when I stood up I had SERIOUS abdominal pain and pain in my rectum. It got so bad that I almost passed out and ended up laying on the floor of the bathroom for several minutes. Finally after about 45 mins it eased up enough for me to sleep, but all day today I have still had this crampy uncomfortable feeling in my lowerer abdomen and rectum. I thought I was constipated so I bought an enema and it either didn't work, or I'm not constipated. SO I did a search online and came up with either A) Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, B) Endometriosis, or C) Cysts/Ulcers. What do you guys think? I also gave birth to a healthy baby girl a year ago, my periods since then have been irregular (probably due to breastfeeding) and my last period was extremely heavy yet there was no cramping which is highly unusual for me...any thoughts??

I have REALLY REALLY tight shoulders, neck and back. so my parents payed for me to get a massage. so I just got back 2 hours ago and I feel really sick. I feel light headed, dizzy, and very score. I just feel bad peroid. i trying to drink as much water as she told me too. she also told me to get some espion salt. My dad though we had some at home. we don't. its now 11:00 at night and he's not going to get it. What else can I do? she really did a number on me.
