This evening, as I was changing to go to bed, I noticed a painful lump in my breast. It appears to be fluid inside of it. From what I have read online, it sounds like it might be a cyst, but I am not entirely sure. It is around the areola and rather painful. If it helps, I just turned 25 years old and my period is due to start in the middle of next week. I plan on visiting a doctor, but my doctor is not in tomorrow and my insurance won't cover something that they don't see as being an emergency for me to go elsewhere (it is graduate student insurance, I am supposed to visit student health first, but they aren't in until Monday). I am just trying to find out more info to hopefully make myself realize it is either a cyst or it isn't. If it isn't, what else it might be?

I have had a breast cyst before. It was round, movable, and tender. The doctor was able to tell what it was immediately just by looking at it. He drained it with a needle in the office, and it never came back again. The stuff that drained out of it was really gross looking, and he said that was typical. Don't freak out, go to your doc when he/she gets back in. I was 30 when I had that one. The other thing it could be is a fibroadenoma- a non cancerous breast tumor. (had two of those before also at age 28) The doctor can tell you what it is with a needle or punch biopsy right in the office. Good luck. Don't fear!

im pretty sure its a cyst if it isnt then what else could it be but a pimple which i doubt it because you would be able to tell. A cyst is nothing major but their hard to get rid of. My girl had one on her back and she had to see the doctor 2 times to have the cyst cut open with a knive and remove the white stuff out. If the doctor does not succeed in removing all of it the cyst will return. good luck

Breast Cysts are brought about by employing estrogen dominance (too plenty estrogen). man made man made chemical ingredients in our ecosystem mimic estrogens that inspire breast cysts to form. evade those chemical ingredients to do away with breast cysts.
