Women's Health - July 2007

Recently, due to a serious surgery, my doctor decided it'd be best if I stopped having periods for a while, I would of been kool with this if he hadn't decided to give me the depo shot :-(. The first month I've been on it, things were going just fine, i was just normal. But now I'm going onto my 3rd month and I'm beginning to have emotional side effects. I'm having mood swings, and moments when I feel like crying for no reason and worst of all, I have almost NO sex drive at all. I don't feel as interested as I was before and it's almost like the only reason I do anything right now is because he wants to. Is this a normal side effect and has anyone else had this problem???

last month i didnt get my period until july 2...so basically i skipped my period...i dunno wut it wuz, alchohol, stress?........but i finally got it in july, then on the sunday i started taking the birth control pills...but i only took 3 for 3 days, because i founs out its not good for me because im a singer and its not good for the voice...now, i didnt hav sex this month and my period isnt here yet

I am 13 years old and started my period for the first time in April. I have only had 3 periods since then. So I was wondering if there was any home remedies/natural ways to regulate yourself. And don't answer with the pill. I have also thrown my mom off balance, what's up with that. THanks! :)

Okay. im 14 and i got my period when i was 13....just last year...and I know it's normal when you first get your period your not going to get the first one in a month but it's been awhile and i will get one every like 3 months or somthing....pretty un-usuall if you ask me...and I have no idea when too be ready for it so I can put somthing on but I never know when im going to get it and then i will just all of a sudden get it...sometimes even at school...it sucks and i would like too know why mine takes forever.?

Ok so, in simplest terms, my girlfriend can't stop peing. She pees literally every 30 minutes. She is also feeling tired today and I don't know what's going on. She has had some pain on the right side of her body, right where the appendix is on the left side. Which is weird. I think there is something wrong with her bladder too. She says she watches her diet like crazy, but she has gained weight. About 10 pounds or so.

I thought I should mention this as well. I've had sexual intercourse with her, and i ejaculated inside her. We got the morning after pill the next day as well. It has been 1 week and 4 days since it happened, so she couldn't possibly show symptoms of pregnancy yet, is that correct?

Also I don't want uneducated people to answer my question, I want somebody, preferably a female or a doctor to answer my question. Is this something all ladies experience or what's going on?

I started my period on the fourth of july and got it 6 days early. thsi mont.. i know its normal but im without a mom and i NEED to tell my dad that i got my period...how do i tell him? im too scared and shy to tell him stuff like that ever since my mum.......... i wish i had my mum...i wouldnt be shy to tell her........ anyway.... i can write my mum letters in the mail but i cant talk to her on the phonee and im afraid if i send her a letter in the mail then her boyfriend or my aunt will read it and i will get so embarrased! dont ask why i cant tlak to her! anyway....how do i get pads or tell my dad that i need pads!?!? i am 10 years old......going into 5th grade. i have been in puberty since probably 3rd grade. i started my discharging in 3rd grade. i had armpit hair since 4th grade. i had pubic hair since 3rd. my breasts started budding at the end of 3rd. i had a doctors appointment for a yearly check up on puberty about a week ago. my mom was in the room. my doctor talked to me and my mom about puberty. she said i have pubic hair and breasts are budding. later, my mom asked her a question in proivate..without me hearing. she told me what she said later. she asked her when i would start my period. the doctor said from 1 month to 1 yr and a half. i want a bra so bad. i have no guts to start the puberty talk with my mom. she used to ask me a lot if i wanted a bra and she asked if i wanted to talk about it. but i got nervous and said no. please help me! how do i give her signs that i want to talk about it. please help me! how do i start the talk. how do i ask for a bra? help!

My step mom had a mammogram and the Dr. referred her to a surgeon. The surgeon said she has calcium deposits with "sharp points". He wants her to have them biopsied and surgically removed on Monday. This seems a little aggressive to me. Is this protocol? He said it is new, that women should have the calcium deposits removed to prevent them from becoming cancerous?

It came 3 days early, and i had the most SEVERE cramps I have ever had in my life all that afternoon and that night. Usually i cna take a hot shower or use a heating pad for the pain and it will help. I tried that but all it did was irritate the cramps and make them worse. I couldnt lay down either. and every time i stood up I felt like i was going to faint. I had to sit up in a chair bent over for me to be comfortable. i finally fell asleep. Now i am on the third day of my period. the cramps are nothing like they were that night, but I am still ahving them. This is very unusual. Usually I only have cramps on the first day of my period. not every day of it. Should I be worried?

that the blood is dark red. Mine was like a 2 colors. I really want to know what it is. So, I drew a quick picture on paint, to show you what it looked like. Please don't judge me, I am really tense because my mom has no clue what it is. I am NOT going to have the doctor look at my private places!!! Do you know what it is?Or what I should do?
And by the way, i could not make clear on the picture, so i used really really light yellow.and i also used bright red.

My period is a few weeks late I woke up to go to the toilet, before I got there I felt wet and blood fell out on to the carpet. I reached the toilet, I thinking it was a heavy period with being late and felt what I thought was period pain. the next thing what I thought was a big clot fell out and splashed blood and water from the toilet right up to my nightgown. I put a big clump of tissue there whilest looking for tampax. A few minutes later I removed the tissue to see what looked like clumps of blood and pieces of like clear skin. At this point I began to wonder as I thought maybe it could of been part of the sack the baby should of been in, but Id already flushed the toilet. I am 39 and have a daughter of 19. I kept on bleeding badly for most of the day, the pain has eased and im only loosing a normal amount of blood now. I was just about to send this when I just felt all warm and wet, Ive looked down and I have leaked through my jeans again.

i usually take it around 6 pm which normally would be right after dinner; however, my work hours have changed and now i have a hard time taking it at 6 pm every day. I'm about to start a new pack in a few days. Would that be a good time to start taking it at a different time. Say 9 pm?
