Skin Conditions - December 2006

For the past month or so (ever since it's been cold out and dry) my knuckles every so often get really dry, start burning and get really itchy sometimes and start to crack. The palms of my hands are almost ALWAYS dry so I do know what dry skin is, but i've never had my knuckles do this til this year. Is it dry skin, eczema, or a little bit of both?

And what can I do/use to help prevent it, or treat it?

My Daughter had excema it's not that bad as you see on the internet. It's really a mild case. We are using Locoid Lipocream for Flare ups. Bathing in Cedaphil and using Cedaphil Lotions. We have a humidifier going as well in her room to help moisturize her air at least 8hrs a day while she sleeps and plays!! Does the water she drink help put moisture back into her skin?

Anyone know what is the most recommanded hand cream for professional chefs? my friend is attending a culinary school and her hand gets extremely dry and cracks for exposure to frozen food, cold water and spices. I want to buy her a medicated cream to help cure her dryness and protect her from future damage. Any suggestions? thank you.

I've tried cover-up and brown blush but nothing really works, is there anything I can do about it? Most of them are scars and the scar ointments don't work. Please help!

Last year, I developed a fungus in my nail bed from getting acrylics and now, even though it is mostly gone, everytime I get into a heated living space, my finger start to sting, itch and burn. What causes this? What should I do to get rid of it?

I know it's gross but I had several boils on my buttocks. They were infected and are healing now but are leaving discolored, large like pot marks. I know I shouldn't care that much about the skin on my behind but I want the nice, smooth baby butt that I had! Does Mederma help or what about those bandaid looking things? What kind of skin regime should I do? If I can save some money, could micorodermabrasion help or something like that?

The skin around the base of my neck is faintly green! This has led to people asking me if I don't wash and it's embarassing. I do wash, vigorously, and my neck is still this color! Why is this and what can I do about it? Is it a symptom of something?!
