I have a poker question.
I was recently playing a low $ home no limit cash game ($1.00, $2.00 blinds). There was about $40.00 in the pot at the river and I put a new player to our game all in. I had about $90.00 and he had about $45.00. The hand really does not matter (I felt I had him beat based on his play and I was correct). He thought a minute, turned his cards over in front of him (exactly where they were before) and shrugged. I said "I got you" or something like that. He then said "I fold" and threw his cards into the muck. This raised alot of discussion as this is a small friendly game.
The thoughts were:
1) He mucked his cards by turning them over.
2) He was all in by turning his cards over.
3) Although sneaky, he got me and no harm no foul.
I of course won the pot and he kept playing but I am still confused if this is actually legal. It worked for him as during the discussion he said he was having trouble getting a good read on me and this helped.

I have never played lottery before, now I want to try my luck. According to the National Lottery, if you play Thunderball, your chance is three times higher than Lotto.

Does anyone play Thunderball? Do you have any ''rules'' when choosing the numbers?

lottery winners live mainly outside urban centres which is proof that the lottery numbers that we see appearing on our TV screen are pre sellected and not at all random. In other words the machines are programmed to select the numbers. If the numbers were random , statistically the winners would nearly always be found where population concentration are most dense.and people purchase the most tickets. Is this is arranged by consent with the government to give all uk residents an equal chance.? However those people who buy lottery tickets should know that if they live in a large town they stand even less of a chance of winning than the official odds of 12million to one. Consequently the lottery organisers can also maximise their proffits by manipulating the numbers.

Okay so I just came second in a free poker tournament and won 20 us dollars. ( Out of 1000 players, woo hoo ).
I take this 20 bucks and build it up to 200 at a casino, ( woo hoo )
Then I blew the flurking lot! Havent lost anything really apart from 3 hours out of my day, which was empty anyway.
It was money for nothing and cost me nothing but I'm still banging my head against the table ( bird in the hand and all that ).
So what have ya'll done that you regret today?

I hate going to arcades and have never been to a casino but I do like the slots, I play what I can afford and its good fun. The jackpots are much better and you can play for as little as 1p. I have good runs but always lose my small modest stake of £5. But I consider the fun aspect and I'm extremely strict with myself. Has anyone come away with a healthy profit. Or are the slots fixed? I could easily waste £5 on fags or booze, but I don't

I suppose it is not boring if you have a lot of your own money bet, but that is certainly not the case on TV. Same goes for video games.
