I have never played lottery before, now I want to try my luck. According to the National Lottery, if you play Thunderball, your chance is three times higher than Lotto.
Does anyone play Thunderball? Do you have any ''rules'' when choosing the numbers?

Either way the odds you get are very poor.
National Lottery. Chance of winning smallest prizr (£10 which is 3 numbers from 6 out of 49 is 57/1 but you only get odds of 10/1).
Thunderball odds are only 33/1 to win smallest prize which last Saturday was £5 so giving odds of 5/1 to hit a 33/1 chance.
You would be better off picking a horse with high odds and backing it each way. Although of course you are unlikely to ever win a large lump sum that way. Remember the overall odds of winning the National Lotter are 13.8million to 1. And Around 3.45million to 1 for Thunderball.
And if you do pick number pick high ones. Although statistically they are no more (or less) likely to win then any other combination there is less chance of someone else having them. And therefore sharing a prize as the majority of people use birthdays (which can't be over the number 31) so high combinations are less likely to be duplicated by someone else.

There is a very simple answer to this.
Pick numbers above 31. Lots of people go for numbers that mean something. Birthdays etc.
Dont share your jackpot with those fools. Pick high numbers, since less people play them so you will win more.
(this applies more to Lotto than Thunderball admittedly, but hey-ho)

I have played the lottery since it started with the same numbers and twice I have had 4 numbers. I have played thunderball since it started and have won many £5.00 & £10.00 on it, once £20.00 and once £100.00! If you want to play any I would advise thunderball, more chances of winning! By the way my numbers are a combination of age & birthdays. (age at the time it started)

You can't increase your probability of winning (unless of course you buy more than one ticket). What you can do is choose numbers that aren't popular with other people so that if you do win you'll share the pot with less people. Many people choose birth date numbers (i.e. 31 is the maximum), ages and a range of other things, which I'm sure you can google and get more info on.
My other advice would be to save this message and look after me if your numbers do roll in!
NB/ the chances of winning the traditional lottery (choose 6 from 49) is just shy of one in 14 million.

We have picked our numbers many ways by eliminating so many and using the rest from a bag to combine the 6 numbers as we used to be in a syndicate with my mum and brother after a while i moved from the area and they didnt want to play any more and 2 weeks after they stoped playing our numbers came up for 5 and the bonus i was gutted and didnt tell any 1 for months iv done lucky dips but nothing ever comes out with them and iv used numbers to asociate my familys date of bith ect

i choose the birth dates that represent people in my family.....20 and 23 seem to be lucky for me...i do the same in the Lotto and Thunderball..

date of birth 19, ?? ,month,day, time11,45 thats six numbers need more numbers add your present age if more then 49 numbers age 62 6x2=12, here what it might look like 19,49,04.23,11,45. now if the numbers only go to 49 the year in which you where born, you can add them together or times them together.
