He will spend 48 strait hours on the computer playing poker only getting up to use the restroom or grab a snack or something. They live 7 hours away, so we don't see them very often, and last time we went to visit them, his dad blew us off all weekend long to play poker. His dad recently got sick and had to have surgery, then had some major complications from the surgery that very nearly killed him, making the last memory my fiance would have had of his dad one of being blown off. I would think that nearly dieing would get his attention, but I think hes worse. He has no desire to quit, doesn't think its a problem. All this really bugs my fiance, but he doesn't know what to do about it, he says it makes his dad happy, but I think that sometimes people cut themselves to be happy, that doesnt make it a good thing! His Dad has actually made a lot of money off it, he literally won over $20,000 in one night, so he has no financial reason to quit. Anyone have any advice?

I have been trying to get a decent hit on $5 dollar slot machines in Atlantic City for some time now and the most that I have won at a time is $400. Yet it seems like everytime I walk into the high stakes room there is someone sitting at a machine with bells and lights going off with a slot attendant handing him or her hundreds. I am not complaining about it, I know that it's gambling, I just would like to know your win or loss stories that you had in Atlantic City NJ. Thanks

If you get down to it, I think Texas Hold Em is a game of (not pure) luck. It's all a part of hoping that your hand, the flop, turn, and river cards are sequent to your victory. I don't get how anyone considers Hold Em a game of strategy and skill. Yugioh is a card game of strategy. Stratego is a game of strategy. You cannot really use the cards to your advantage unless you have a high hand, or if luck is on your side. What do you think?
