If my pawn gets to the opponents end of the gameboard then I get to choose a piece to bring back into the game right? And when that happens, do I put it back in it's original spot or do I leave it where my pawn reached the other side? ( I hope this makes sense....lol)

what if you could take everything you have and sit down with four other people and the outcome of the game will be real. Would you want to play?

So say for example both players are left with one letter, and there is literally nowhere to put it, no 2 letter words to form, nothing at all! Is it a stalemate draw? Or does the person currently leading win the game?

i know it's not very probable that you will win if you don't have your queen, but this girl on my street played against me, and she got my queen out but i still beat her. I don't know if she was just being hot-headed or not, but she said that the game should have been over when she got my queen out.

general knowledge that the whole family can play? (9 and up) I don't want one that just does movies, or music, cartoons, etc. I've seen so many versions on the net, that I have no idea which is a good one. Thanks

It consisted of a player with five pegs of two colors to choose from - red and blue. The board itself was a regtangular maze with colored strips that alternated red and blue with one white strip in the middle. The strips could be moved(blue strips by blue player etc) to the sides to block the other player with the maze walls and you had to reach all your pegs to the other side.

I played this game last around 16 - 17 years ago if that helps.

Yea, my grandmother found these really out board games from the early 1960's intact with all the peices, and intructions. They are basically brand new. How much would they me worth to collectors and what not and so on.

Hi.
I was wondering if there is such a board game as Maharaja.
We play it at home but I am not sure if it is popular around the world.
You play it on a chess board and it is 80% like chess. One of the sides plays with 16 pieces, like normal chess. The other plays with the Maharaja. It is a lonely queen that can move like a knight as well. It does not have the problem of checks etc. Its task is to put checkmate to the opponent king (since it can move like a knight as well, it can put checkmate on its own).
The other opponent's task is to conquer the Maharaja, which is not easy though.
The question is if such a game exists. Maybe the name is different. Do you know any such game?
