I'm not talking about stuff you buy in the store - but the kind you burned your little fingers on while grabbing them straight off the cookie sheet when it came from the oven at Grandma's house.

I'm making some pumpkin cookies tonight so I thought I'd post a question about cookies :) Finally, something that's not bitter or angry on Y/A!!

Chinese? Indian? Pizza? Kebabs? Burgers? KFC or fish and chips? I like them all, but I think fish and chips with mushy peas would just shade it as my favourite take away.

What do the numbers on different types of pasta mean (such as spaghetti is #8, thin spaghetti #9, and et c.), and how did the numbers come about? Thanx in advance for the info!

For me, it was a dish she referred to as a boiled dinner. She'd take cut potatoes, green beans and bacon and cook them up as a soup like meal. I absolutely hate boiled bacon, so it always grossed me out. To this day, I refuse to eat that meal. Her defense is that bacon only cost $1.00 back then.

Hi, I have been reading some of the recipes on here for chicken in the slow cooker covered with soup. Do you have to brown the chicken in a pan before putting it in the slow cooker or can you just put it in straight from the fridge? Many thanks
