We are grilling out hamburgers. I was thinking of making homemade macaroni and cheese and corn on the cob. My hubbie hates potato salad, cole slaw, and macaroni salad (basically anything cold & creamy). WHAT ELSE CAN I SERVE?? Any good easy recipes or ideas??

I thought maybe we could have butterchicken or satay chicken as an entree, but I don't have any other ideas. Help!

Also need some party ideas. By the way this isn't a birthday or anything special.

My girlfriend is very happy girl and likes joy.She catched a medium-size alive grasshoper in the field. That grasshoper was merely jumping around the field. We observed him.Immediately she told me:"look, what I will do now" and she put the alive grasshoper into her mouth, closed her mouth very slowly and swallowed the grasshoper alive and unharmed. She put her hand on the buttom of her throat and it was gone . . . the alive grasshoper slided down her throat. She smiled and opened her mouth,it was empty, then she put her hand on her tummy and told me with a smile that alive grasshoper is here now. Then she told me not to worry because she would easily digest it but I feel very sorry for poor alive grasshoper she will die in a few minutes and should I ask her to vomit him?She told me that if I will ask she will vomit him but I don't know what to do. 2-3 minutes passed after it. She kissed me and told that she will do whatever I wish, so please explain and suggest something quickly please.

My work is having a pot luck next Friday and I haven't got a clue as to what to bring. I don't want to bring anything sweet or just chips and dip. And it can't be hot; there's no way to keep it hot until lunch and no way to heat it afterwards. Any healty and tasty suggestions? I was thinking maybe of making Gespacho.

Is it better to grill with the lid open or closed? I have a small charcoal grill and it seems that the fire doesn't stay hot enough to really sear the food when I close the lid. I have read that the best results come with both ways, so I am not sure. Any help is appreciated.
