Definitely NOT fondant-based -- that's for old-timey French Conservatives. The best-tasting cake in America and the most beautiful cakes in America do not come from the same place. So, listen up, this is what you do:
Go to Wal-Mart, any Wal-Mart, and buy a plain white sheet cake. Take this cake to a Chinese bakery and ask them to ice it with Goddess Icing and to decorate it with creamcheese-based frosting flowers. Yum!!!

My 2nd wedding cake. It was round layers covered with a creamy yellow fondant icing, with little white dots and flowers all over. It looked more like a stack of hatboxes than a cake!
