How many times has everyone gone to get some fast food and gotten the wrong item(s), cold food, old food, or something else? Do fast food places not pay enough and this is worker's way of getting back? Would YOU feel justified not showing dedication to a job where you were not getting paid very well?

I have a friend whose family hails from Modena and she remembers her Grandmother and Great Grandmother making some sort of soup with Tortelacci in it. Sadly, the tradition was lost over the years and she is eager to find it or one like it. Tortelacci is hard to reference and she has bet me that I can't find a recipe. Help me out please! Thanks!

Teaching a lesson to 3rd graders and I want them to "sample" foods from different countries as an illustration of different cultures.
Can you give me some easy characteristic foods. For example, olives from Greece, Tortillas from Mexico, small Egg Rolls from China or Japan, etc. even countries like the Phillipines, Mongolia, Khazakstan would be helpful. Thanks

I live in the Seattle area, and I don't want to have to spend $10 for a few ounces of their sauce, and I want to know how to make a similar sauce. I want it thick and a bit sweet, not too salty. Most Korean Teriyaki restaurants here have it. And I know it is totally different than Japanese Teriyaki or that Kikkoman stuff. Everyone I know loves that stuff, but no one can seem to replicate it well. Friends have used a combination of soy sauce, sugar and/or corn syrup, and garlic salt, or something like that, but it never comes out similar or even close enough to call teriyaki sauce. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Often, after cutting or cooking, with onions, my skin, or hands, smell like them. Is there some way of treating the onions so that they don't scent my skin like that?
