Singles & Dating - 26 February 2007

After we broke up my ex said we would still be friends. He would still talk to me and hang out with me and our friends. But then he started to avoid me. It's gotten to the point where I'll walk up to our friends and he'll just turn his back on me. He won't even look at me. He dosn't talk to me at all. He won't go to any of the after school clubs we were both in before either, and won't tell his best friend why he decided to quit. We had a pretty mutual break up, he just didn't want to be with me anymore and I didn't plan on staying in a relationship where I wasn't wanted. I never did anything to hurt him. He has told me he dosn't love me anymore and that he never wants to be with me again over e-mails so I know he dosn't have feelings for me. So why can't he just be my friend? I'm not trying to get him back, but it makes things kind of weird when hes avoiding me and I don't want to lose a friend. Maybe I can fix it if I know why hes being like this. Any ideas?

Theres this guy i like and even though he has a girl he still flirts wit me. Ok well today in Englis i started to fall out of my seat and since he sits beside me every day {for no reason} he trys to catch me and his point of view of catching is by grabbing me on the but and still leting me to fall. Well when this was all hapening his gf walks in and she now thinks hes cheating on her wit me and even though shes like my friend she wont belive me or him and he kinda wants to go out with her but if she keeps it up he wont so how do i get her to belive him or me????? Cuze we never were going out and were just friends and knos that its just me and him get very SOCIAL!!! even though we dont mean 2!

I have been dating a guy that I really care for awhile(not very long, about a month or so ) and my family thinks it is wrong of me to be seeing a "married man" . I was NOT the cause of his marriage breaking up, I met him afterwards, I don't see the harm in dating him...I would like some opnions, Should we have waited till the ink was dry on the divorce papers? Or does it matter? My family thinks it is not good, because he could change his mind and go back to his wife , but isn't there a risk in any relationship, in the fact that it could end, because someone wants out, to be with another?

He has a girlfriend but he doesnt ever hang out with her but says he still likes her wants to hang out w/ me. He came over and the first time that he tried to kiss me i wouldnt let him because he has a girlfriend and then finally i gave in and let him kiss me and yea... but every time i would hold back and tell him no but then kiss him back... when he was getting ready to leave he said that we couldnt hang out for at least 1 week because he wanted to make sure that i wasnt going to tell anyone and get him in trouble with his girlfriend.. Hes using me i know it i just dont know what to do about it...

Hi Straight Guys!! I've never been attracted to girls - sexually or otherwise - and was wondering why you are. What is it about girls that you like?! I've asked straight guys this question before and they often respond by saying something like, "Because I'm not gay!!" OR "It's nature man!!" But those aren't really answers - are they?! there's this guy i've been seeing for a while and i've known him for about 8 months all this time he said that he has no kids i went on myspace and seen his page plus his sisters page and i saw two kids and on the page she said it was her nieces and one of them look just like him and she said on there that he has one on the way under the picture......why would he not tell me that he has kids? that is so wierd to me....i probably messed that up by telling him when i first met him that i want to meet a guy with no kids but still i feel he should have told me anyway hiding them makes him look bad. there was a girl that called me and told me that she's the mother of his two kids and he said that she was lying. How can i get him to confess about his kids?..this is not the first guy who has done this to me...why do some guys do this? no rude comments just need advice

I know there is not handbook to life, but what the heck, I might as well just ask this question. I love my gf and we are going to move in together soon. She has a four year old daughter and I don't want to become the "evil stepdad." As of right now, the daughter and I get along wonderfully. She always hugs me when she sees me and we play together, etc. I have never really been very firm with my girlfriend's daughter, however. My gf and I discussed this and my gf said that it's okay for me to discipline her daughter (give time outs), etc, if I feel she is getting out of hand. I just want to be loving, but I have never been a father. I always compliment my gf's daughter when she does a good job at something, and I encourage her to do good things, etc. What else can I do to be a good father? I want to provide a loving environment for both my gf and her daughter, but this is a big step for me. I've never lived with a woman before, let alone a single mom.

My bf and i have been dating for a month and a half. In the last 2 weeks he has gotten REALLY busy with work and I am starting to feel neglected. I saw him once last tuesday, and I was with him and his buddies and my girlfriend on the weekend, but never alone with him. I just think that we should spend more time together, especially alone, instead of always with friends.ive been alone with him 3 times since we met. There is this girl that I like and I can sense she likes me because we talk on instant messenger alot, we text one another alot. If we dont meet up she gets upset that she didnt get a chance to see me. Recently I asked her to be my date to my formal that I have, she said yes.
