After we broke up my ex said we would still be friends. He would still talk to me and hang out with me and our friends. But then he started to avoid me. It's gotten to the point where I'll walk up to our friends and he'll just turn his back on me. He won't even look at me. He dosn't talk to me at all. He won't go to any of the after school clubs we were both in before either, and won't tell his best friend why he decided to quit. We had a pretty mutual break up, he just didn't want to be with me anymore and I didn't plan on staying in a relationship where I wasn't wanted. I never did anything to hurt him. He has told me he dosn't love me anymore and that he never wants to be with me again over e-mails so I know he dosn't have feelings for me. So why can't he just be my friend? I'm not trying to get him back, but it makes things kind of weird when hes avoiding me and I don't want to lose a friend. Maybe I can fix it if I know why hes being like this. Any ideas?

Sweetheart life is just too short to be stressing over a guy who has no time for you. By you trying to talk to him and be around him is just but another way of giving him power to decide when, where and how you should live your life. Please please please,,,,,just forget about him and move on with your life, he doesn't even deserve to be your friend. A friend respects you as a human being leave alone as a girlfriend AND puts your feelings into consideration. His cold shoulder clearly shows he doesn't care about you or anything that has to do with you. Get yourself busy,concentrate on yourself, read some motivational books on how too deal with a breakup, when you can avoid being by yourself...JUST STAY BUSY. Stop acting all needy, build yourself physically, emotionally, socially and spritually. Finally, when the next man comes your way, they'll know they got themselves a masterpiece and will worship the ground you walk on. Take care!!!

Sounds like he's gettin weirded out because you still need something from him. . . even if its just for him to say hello and be nice. He's young and afraid. I remember being young and beleiving that my ex was still so in love with me, that anything I did was going to hurt her or land me back in the relationship. So I acted weird. Ignore him back. Don't give him any more than he gives you. He'll chill out or school will end. Either way it will be over soon.

Maybe after a bit, your ex realized that he still has feelings for you. He prob figures if he avoids talking to you, going the same places, etc, that he will be able to avoid his feelings. I don't know if you would want to, but maybe you could try to get a hold of him somehow and talk to him...see how he's feeling. Good luck!

When someone is ignoring you that way, it means that they just don't care. He's not a real friend, real friends don't act like this, friends are always there when you need them,sorry to say this but he's an idiot.

i belive nine times out of ten he may still have feelins for you but dont want to show thwm or hes bein a jerk

i have this happening to me, she broke it off with me but i realized i still liked her. im afraid that if she knows i lie her still shell avoid me.
