So I have a first date on valentine's day and am wondering if bringing roses and candy is too much for a first date. I wouldn't normally do that but it is valentine's and we have talked on the phone alot, and I like her quite alot (more than the typical first date). If not or if so any other ideas?

If you've not spoken to your close female friend for 2 months and when ur mate mentions YOUR NAME and suggests everyone meets up and her REACTION is:

She just goes quiet, he asks her again,mentioning my name and all she says is NO-her mood changed completly after my name was mentioned.She doesn't say anything else until the topic changed.

MEANING?What is she possibly feeling?

All advice appreciated.......

We had a falling out-said I needed time out from her to get over my feelings(we weren't a couple,just got to close) I've apologised numerous times 1 month ago-shes still ignoring me.

Why is she hurting-she only wanted to be friends-wanted to respect her wishes...

I recently found out my guy friend and I like each other. He was going to get me a necklace/bracelet/ring that was $255!!! But I talked him out of it. He believes a guy should spoil the girl not the other way around. I am being stubborn and getting him something. =] I remember he said he needs a surf sex comb so i am getting him that, he said he LOVES ice cream so i am getting him a $10 coldstones giftcard, he LOVES Zumiez so i am getting him a $100 giftcard, he WANTS new videogames so i am getting him a $50 giftcard to EB games, and he likes starburst so I am getting that too...he said he hated everything after he found out i was getting him something cuz he doesnt want me spending money on him! I want to show him i remember what he likes and that he is special to me! Do guys appreciate when girls listen to what they like and get it for him. If you liked what he liked who'd you consider my gifts thoughtful or meaningless?! Curious =/

What do you consider cheating? My friend from school is upset with her boyfriend because she found out he was talking to a ex of his by email. His ex was even sending pictures of herself to him! He said he wasn't cheating on her, he doesn't consider it cheating, he was just keeping in contact with her. He never asks for the pictures. Now she is very upset and wants to end their relationship over it but she loves him and doesn't know if she should just let it go. I personally don't think she should end the relationship over a email, I mean the girl lives across the country. I know I would not end my relationship over a email but if it happened again then I would end it because obviously he has no respect for their relationship if he does it again. What do you think she should do? Was he cheating? Would you end your relationship over a email?

after he broke up with his girlfriend, you guys got together, theirs was a very short relationship. He knew you loved him before he was in this relationship. Now you have been together for 1 year and 7 months and things are going great.

But if he really loved me, do you think he would have went out with me before he went out with her because it was 2 years that he knew you loved him.

she is visiting her from england and is 18 we went to new york for a whole day and talked while walking around and we talked about all the things we like to do and that night she ate over my house and she smiled and laughed and asked me to go to the movies with her and i said yes then a few nights later i went over where she is staying because she also invited me over and we talked for over an hour with her smiling and laughing and she talked about how we will see eachother in the summer again then a few nights laterwhen we were supposed to go to the movies she had a headache and didnt feel well but we talked for the time i was there and she mentioned again us seeing eachother in the summer and also mentioned her exboyfriend once and i think maybe it was to let me know she doesnt have one but i am not sure then iwent over another night and she seemed happy to see me and smiled and laughed when she said hi then the first thing i said she laughed at and seemed to be smiling evertime

Currently i am talking to this boy who most of my friends don't like. When you meet him he comes off as a huge jerk, and sometimes he does stupid things. He kind of has some anger issues... but not about anything important it seems. But I hung out with him one night and he was really funny and pretty nice... He is still a little cocky though. lol
Anyhow I started talking to him, and we're kind of dating. He's really sweet to me and talks to me like everyday. right, so.... he's in the marines and originally was supposed to be deployed for 14 months and i figured that when he came back we could kind of pick up where we left off, and everyone would be over the stuff they didn't like about him. my friends would get to know him and like him.
but now he's talking about how he might not have to be deployed and what not. and that means he'll come home sooner, and i can't really just hide it, i know he wouldn't be ok with it... and i wouldn't' either.
I'm not sure what i should do...

Are all women heartless and believe that there is no need for commitment...it seems odd coming from a guy, but I can honestly say most women I know could careless about a loving, commited relationship. It seems that they are only concerned their needs and not with making the sacrafices nessesary for a relationship. Anyone care to explain this?

I swear I miss the good old bachelor days-me and the dog in the truck,heading out for a weekend adventure. Now I'm in relationshipland and it's getting old fast.I've seen Saran wrap thats less clingy! Just because you're dating someone doesn't mean you have to be with them 24/7 ! Atleast the dog can be in the house with me and not insist on being right on my tip. Why are some women so quick to give up their identity when they get in a relationship? To make a long story short, I really, really like my b/f but since our relationship is a secret (please don't remark on this, it's not the most pressing part of my question!) we never get to hang out or anything. I really like him a lot but I feel guilty because we never get to hang out and also because I'm being dishonest to the people who don't know about us, and it's killing me.

I've decided to break up with him but I really, really don't want to do it over the phone or IM because that's just way too harsh. I want to meet up with him and do it face-to-face - the problem is - seeing as I never get to see him, I can't! It's almost Valentine's Day so I need to break up with him today and also, I already told him I needed to talk to him so he's got some idea that whatever it is, it isn't good, and I can't wait any longer otherwise it'll kill him.

What's the best way to break up with him if there's no way I can see him today?

He is really cute but very quiet and I invited him to watch a movie in my dorm but he kinda turned the subject around so now we are going to get something to eat on friday... the problem with him is that whenever we say goodbye he either waves or shakes my hand. He never tries to hug me or anything else.
what can i do to show him that i wouldn't mind a hug or something more. but i don't want to put him off as a friend if he doesn't want more.
