So I have a first date on valentine's day and am wondering if bringing roses and candy is too much for a first date. I wouldn't normally do that but it is valentine's and we have talked on the phone alot, and I like her quite alot (more than the typical first date). If not or if so any other ideas?

maybe a yellow rose and some small candy thing? like those candy hearts with sayings on them or a small box of chocolates. or if you think she has a favorite, just a bar of her fave. valentines day first date eh? lots of pressure - but have fun with it! if she likes you she'll think anything you do is cute.

Flowers and candy are always nice, but why don't you try to mix it up a little too. Red roses and a box of chocolates is too boring!
