Singles & Dating - 13 October 2006

Yes, it's a repeat. Not trying to preach, just want to make sure these kids realize they have to live w/ their decisions, not us. All I've got.

I am reading through a lot of these Q's and I realize there are a lot of school kids on here now. I want you to listen to me about this. The advice on here is helpful and usually honest, but often it is going to be as conflicting as your own thoughts are, so where does it get you? I am not saying don't ask, don't answer, don't listen to what is said here. I am just saying eventually you will have to make decisions on your own and you WILL make mistakes (esp when it comes to relationships) but that is how we learn who we are and what works for us. Anyone out of school reading this, am I telling the truth? How many dumb things are in your past? I have millions, but I laugh about them now and even tell my gf, which makes her laugh, too. Kids: you're young. You're not perfect. Make mistakes. Learn to be yourself. OK?

Okay i was waiting for my dad like i do every way he comes from his chool because they had a a half a day......... so at fisrt he asking me about his freind thats been tryin to get at me for a long time......then hes like i bet il get you before he do..... so we talking or whatever and then hes like i know why my dude be following you

ok my boyfriend is really nice and takes me to school at 6:30 every morning he picks me up from school when hes not working and then comes to my house every night.i love him but when i ask him to do things he gets mad and says no. he doesent like to watch girly movies with me and he drinks every other week and i dont like that and when i sayd i want to drink just to see what he sayd he sayd he doesent like girls that drink, preety much everything a guy does is ok but not when a girl does he says girls then turn into hoes and dont know what there doing.also when i tell him something he doesent believe me. he likes to go to parties and i dont like to cause im shy, i wasent always shy untill he sayd i was annoying a lot it made me not want to be as outgoing as before. were kinda opposite a lot even when it comes to food or drinks we fight about every day.he says that i cry because thats what love is about. he also says no other guy would treat me better than him. what do you think?

I've been liking this guy at school for a year so I asked my friends to ask him how he feels about me. They all told me that he said he likes me, but just as a friend. I guess hanging out with him is going to be hard now cause we were really close friends and it'll feel awkward for me. He was all I thought about every day. How can I get over him?

Ok so there's this girl on my cross country team (she's pretty much the reason I started running). She's in my grade (10th) and we are good friends. We always talk and hang out at practice. The problem is, I like her. She has a boyfriend in 9th grade and from what I can tell I spend a lot more time with her than he does. I told her my feelings, and it seemed like she felt bad that she was going with this guy and she didn't want to hurt me and was basically saying how I'll find someone that will make me way happier than she ever could. The fact is, she is wrong. I know it's so cliche to say, but she really is perfect, everything I look for in a girl. I don't think she likes me like I like her, but I'm just wondering if I can get her to like me or if she just doesn't want to say she likes me to hurt the other guy. Bascially I wonder if he current relationship is keeping us apart or if she really just doesn't like me, and if not, then how can I get her to like me?

Does anybody know what time UPS stops deliveries? I work all night and have had my neighbors tell me that the truck is here kinda late sometimes.. like after I go to work at 11 at night. She says that they can only bring sex toys and lingerie after hours. I kinda like all the new stuff she's been getting, but I haven't ever heard of anything like that..

Do you think that there is something wrong with a woman if she has never had a boyfriend ever in her life and she is 28 years old? She says she has fooled around with guys but never had full sex. She says its not for religious reasons either. What do you all make of that??

I just found out that my friend was dating a girl that was sleeping with his cousin. they have been together for a couple of years now, but it doesn't seem to bother him. To make matters worse, he told me he found out she had gotten pregnant and got an abortion from this same guy. (my friend was in jail at the time). I think my friend loves this girl but he says he's just using her because he can do whatever he wants and she will always be there. Is this a bunch of bull or what. I thought guys didn't fall in love or have much respect for women who sleep with their best friends or relatives. What gives...Does this mean he thinks she's the best he can do? (self-esteem issues)
