Is there such a type of psychological disorder or whatnot, that causes a person to be turned away from being affectionate, intimate, desiring marriage or a relationship. I've begun to notice that I never wanted a girlfriend and I still don't. I don't feel as though I have the capabilities of being affectionate, intimate, etc. I've studied my sexual orientation, concluding that, yes I do find women attractive I have nothing inside of me that says ''go get her.' What would have caused this because everyone makes me feel odd when they are shocked that I've never had a girlfriend, don't want one and never want to be married. I am 21-years-old... this just something in the "stage's of being a young adult."

He flirted, and then backed off. But then was just friendly in a non flirty way, although still sometimes flirting, like winking at me after a conversation with a big smile. But only conversing with me when it's school related. I think he's always had a slight feeling that I am attracted to him. Recently when he came over and just stood by my desk after handing me something. I tried to make small talk he acted really odd. Shy nervous and distant. And for a week couldn't make eye contact with me it was like I wasn't in the room. Yet then when he handed me something he stared in my eyes for like 5 seconds then looked down and laughed. I couldn't take it so I started ignoring him. When I did this. He tried to get my attention by playing a joke. Now he's acting normal again like he did before able to look at me and not act strange. Back to the way it was before I tried to make small talk. Past my desk to look at me and say hi. What message is he trying to send?

I have been hurt by many people inparticuarly men in my short lifetime. I'm only 21 years of age. But, I cannot seem to get over the emotional distress I have been experienced. I have tried. But, I cannot seem to let go of the past. Now, the only alternative I can think of is moving to a new city or state. Should I do it? Will this really solve my problem and help me forget the past? Problem is, I have friends where I live and they are kind of dependent of me.
What should I do?

When your girlfriend asks you questions about your ex or other girls, things like that...does it make you think your girlfriend is insecure? I'm not asking my man too much, I'm not obssessing. I work with a guy but he lives in another state. We have been flirting a little and one day we talked for 3 hours straight. He told me I was very very pretty, I had a lot going for me and I could go out w/any guy I want. I told him I was not at that place in my life and that I needed to take time to be by myself and figure out why my old relationship didn't work. We talked for about 1/2 after I made that statement and he was very friendly. On Thursday I was in town and he was suppose to come out with a a group of us but when I called he said it was a little late and he had work to do, maybe next time you are in town! I really like and am very attracted to him but I know I am not ready to have a relationship just yet. I really wanted to see him, even though it is probably better I didn't because I am so attracted to him. I'm confused and hurt. Do you think he was interested and now he doesn't even want to go out as friends?
