I have been hurt by many people inparticuarly men in my short lifetime. I'm only 21 years of age. But, I cannot seem to get over the emotional distress I have been experienced. I have tried. But, I cannot seem to let go of the past. Now, the only alternative I can think of is moving to a new city or state. Should I do it? Will this really solve my problem and help me forget the past? Problem is, I have friends where I live and they are kind of dependent of me.
What should I do?

Well...i think you should do what you think is the best for you. But...if you want to resolve problems by moving out...answer: is not going to work. You will find stress wherever you go. What i recommend you to do is to deal with them. I know it is super difficult, stress and sadness are not easy to deal with. But as you said, you have friends that love you, care about you and count on you...why don't you focus on that?...enjoy your life! go out with friends, you may even help others with their distresses...in that way you will see that there are people out there that have gone through worse things!...and you can help them to heal...and at the same time you will heal your emotional wounds.
Don't give up!...Life is hard but beautiful at the same time. Can you imagine how boring it would be if nothing would go on?? Take it easy! :) and smile lots....and learn from your past experiences...maybe you have been giving too much of your love to the wrong people...now is time to give that love to yourself!!...and find the one that is going to protect you!...Trust God!...he wants you to be happy! :)

Take care! and Best wishes.

Change is good. But leaving your friends behind might affect your mood. Try to change something little about your every day life. See if that helps. Do things differently. Try new stuff.
I realized that if a wake up early every morning like 6 am I see the world in a totally different way. People who get up early are usually happier than the ones sleeping in til 9 10 am. This may sound crazy but try it for a week. One more thing. Exercise more that should make you feel a lot better.

If you do move it should be somewhere that you have relatives, or friends. Kinda like a safety net. Or just go for it and move, take your friends with you. It can make all the difference in the world. I've known some people to move from one place to another and their life totally change.

I know from experience you'll just take your problems with you. Have you seen a shrink, gone to any 12-step groups, etc?

Unless you deal with it problems have a way of following you and snowballing. deal with your problem where you are before moving on and having new problems.
