recently found a old highschool girlfriend through classmates.com ,she came to visit me and we had a great time, however we live far apart and i would like to let her know i really would like to start a serious relationship with her but dont want to be pushy, we are attending my 20 year high school reunion together and i am spending a few days with her. we are both single parents and we were both hurt badly in our prior relationships. i dont want to scare her off, what should i do?

This thing has always confused me, and it is very common, you see people making promises... of loving each other, living together forever, staying by each other and crap like that ... what happens is that after a few months you will find them miles apart, broken up and with a new partner

so why do people do that ? why make promises which you cannot keep ?
are we not serious while making such promises and commitments ? do we just fake all of it ?

well i know my bf loves me. but for guys do u mean anything by these certain things? like hints or whatever.
1)he likes to run up and hug me from behind.
2) he likes to hug me in a huge bear hug.
3)when i go to get up, he takes me by the belt loop over and over and brings me back down to him.
4) he picks me up in a hug and kisses me.
5) and he very often likes to spank my butt, then he smiles.
6)and when we makeout and stuff he loves going up my shirt and stuff.
are there meanings behind all this? or is it just what it is? what other kinds of things can a guy do like that?

but he says, "don't be so shallow , i'm not with you for your looks, it's your personality". i would love to feel that i was his preferred "type". don't want to dump him cos i love him. but i can't help feeling he would choose a smaller version if he could have chosen the "ideal" girlfriend. i've even started going to the gym to lose some weight cos i dont like him looking at other women. he actually encourages me to diet, etc cos he says it will help my self esteem if i lost a few pounds. i'm only size 12 though (uk) not overweight. BUT i found out recently that his long-term ex was size 18 (HUGE). i'm confused. am i just being insecure? why am i so annoyed to learn that his ex was twice the size of me?
