Ok I know this is going to sound stupid, my ex boyfriend who wants to get back with me and start a life together says in order to do that i have to respect his rules and wishes i understand about compromise and give and take but why does this sound like a dictatorship to me? one rule is no low shirts he doesn't really like make up and when i "do" where it i am always tasteful about it it sounds like to me he has low self esteem he says no all his ex's cheated on him well so did mine but if this one is gonna do it i am just gone his loss. any woman out there who are dealing or have dealt with it should i just listen to him- do you want low shirts or love? I am also very independant and really have a problem with men tellin me what to do or how to do it. He says i don't love him cause i don't always take his advice. What to do??

It would seem a given in our present culture, to play 'fast and loose' when casually dating, but then end up broken hearted when the outcome is only sexual usury.
My question is, why would anyone believe there is a chance for a long-term relationship with someone who is clearly an 'anybodies'?
Why would someone wish to wed a person who passes themselves around like a dog in heat? When has intimacy become nothing more than recreation between strangers?

Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

"How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.

"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.

"Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied

The little boy again counted his coins.

"I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies..

You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

I was involved with a guy i went to school with for the last 4 years at first we were just fooling around then i developed real feelings for him and i told him how i felt about him. It took him awhile but he eventually admitted he felt the same i was happy of course. He tells me he loves me and he wants to be together then i do not hear from him again. So i called him to see was he alive sure enough he was and i thought that was a cruel thing he did. Then we see each other again and he says the same thing then he diappears on me again that was a year ago i did not call him anymore. because i can't take the merry go round anymore but i think about him all the time i just don't want to contact him and set myself up for another ride by the way he has not bothered to call me either what should i do or how can i move on? I am 32 no children and single any advice would help

we have been friends for a while and we always seem to have the best time when we are together,but he wants to be just friends and nothing more but yet he continues to call to check on me and comes over and he cant keep he's hands off me and I can't keep mine off him its like we cant control it. It just happens, I love him and I feel he loves me but is afraid to just say it because of past realtionships that he has had.For the first time in my life I really am in love with someone and when i told him my feelings he told me not to talk this way,it hurts so much when he says this to me. I told him I was going to give him what he wanted but i know when he calls me agian or comes around me agian the attracation willl start again and we will start the same cyle again,what would you do would you continue to be friends,or just walk away from him completley and deal with the pain of losing your best friend and the one you truly love.

me & this guy met last summer & he started to like me, i felt kinda weird bout it cuz dats juz how i am wen i dont really kno a guy. we didnt see eachother til school started. i began to start likin em alot. so we would talk on the fone a few times. my friends told me he likes me but i wasnt too sure of it. i started to like em more & we would always hug eachother in the halls & stuff. he ended up gettin a gf & wen the school year wus jus bout over he wrote in my yearbook & gave me his # i called em & we talked & had good convos. he told me dat he useta really like me alot but didnt think i liked em, & he didnt make a move cuz he wus 4 years older than me & didnt want me or em to get in trouble. he also told me dat he still does like me. but he still has a gf tho. hes really the 'good guy' type. we talk on the fone a few times a week & his gf knos it but she dont care he also told his gf he thinks bout me & he talks to her & his co-workers bout me & asks his boys if they seen me around

i told my crush, a good friend of mine, "i think i have a crush on you" afterschool he NEVER expected that from me b/c I notice his face blush when he looked up at me when i said that. He looked at me and said "U just made my day" and left me there feeling confused. Next day afterschool he asked me if I wanted him to "wait for me". I stood there stump & before i could say something he was gone. Next days he looked at me alot at music class but then slowly he stopped talking to me or haning out w/me like before. so i asked a lesbian friend of both of us in the same class told me that he had told her that "he could not see me as a women, as the mother of his children". i was 17 at the time and he was 18. we used to play guitar together and laugh and talk about our lives together during class he gave me 2 of his best drawings that i still have and he took a picture with me before i left that class . What happened here? Did he ever liked me? y did he changed?
