Guys. At what point does helping a female friend with her problems (emotional/mental/etc) start to be driven by an ulterior motive? I’ve cussed this guy out several times, especially in the last couple days, because he’s been pushing and pushing me to figure out what’s bothering me…like a drill sergeant, really. I don’t mind, it’s helpful, but my problem is that I’m not sure /why/ he keeps coming back and trying to help, despite his numerous threats to sign off and not come back. I ask him and his responses just confuse me. All he says is that I’m a better friend than a lot of the ones he has and that he likes me becuase I'm "intelligent and have a sense of humor." (Haven’t figured out his definition of ‘like’ yet.) Does he have an ulterior motive?

There are times when you meet someone and as you get to know him you see that there are many things similar to each other.The same opinions,the same way of thinking,the same attitudes,the same habits or way of life.These too people have a big age difference but the one of them has born one day before the other one.Is it sometimes ment to meet someone?Do you feel like in some way this person has enterned to your life not by accident?

I've known this kid for 4 years now. He helps out on the farm where i live with my father. He is 16 and I am 20. To me he is my adopted brother and im his older sister. He even has his own room in our house where he lives for a couple weeks in the month. We spend almost everyday together and if we dont see eachother he always calls me in the morning and then at night. Granted it's weird for a 20 year old to be friends with a 16 year old but hey he's the bestest friend i've ever had. and i dont want to loose this friendship- there hasnt been many people that i can actually trust. Here's the problem: we get along so well and hang out so often that friends, family and people we just meet- think that we are dating. We have repeatedly said "No, we're just friends". Nobody but our parents believe us. now it's come to the point where friends are telling us we should go out and to stop denying our feelings - please give any advice you can.

Now, after college we hang out once in a while. We both enjoy each other's company. We get along great.
