pff...no way...unless i was like in my late 20's or early 30's...then i don't think it'd matter...but as of the age i am now (i'm 16)...a guy that's 13 is WAY to immature to hang w/ me

Unless he was wise beyond his years, I don't see it happening.
I have dated quite a few men-a few a tad older, a few a tad younger, and a few right my age. None worked. They weren't men, they were boys, and didn't know what they wanted out of the relationship, or out of life.
Until I met my fiancee. He is seven years my senior, and while he has a few childish moments-as all men do-he is very expirienced in the ways of relationships (he is divorced) and knows what he wants. No games, no drama. Just the truth, and love. It is a great thing.
I have an example-my 24 year old friend is dating a recent high school graduate. I swear, they have had more issues in the 3 months of dating than I have had in 2 years with my fiancee. He's a nice KID, sweet, but YOUNG. He is leaving for school next month, and as much as he tells her "I want to stay with you, those hot chicks down there won't treat me as good as you do" I don't see it lasting to Christmas break. 18 year old boys can't seem to keep their pants on, or their heads straight.

I know I am not a girl but my wife is 3 years older than I am. So, I answer on my behalf of my wife; yes, she would go out with a guy 3 years younger than she is and she did.

As a guy, let me just say that from what I've seen it varies because some girls like older men instead. Either way, if an older woman dates a younger guy, he's still happy! :

No way. The youngest that I would go for is like a few months, maybe up to a year. But no more than that. He's pretty much gotta be the same age or older.

If he was mature enough for me, sure. But in most cases men that are even your age aren't as mature as you are! If you really like this guy I say CAUTION. An older guy might honestly help you find someone more mature. But....I don't know him or how old you are. If your an adult in their 30 or 40 or something, sure it should be fine. But if you are a teenager or in your twenties, I wouldn't do it.

Yes. Why would I allow something as insignificant as age, a lousy 3 years, deter me if the guy was everything I was looking for?

Depends. If I am 16 and he is 13--probably not. If I am 25 and he is 22--probably. I'd say if you were both out of high school that would be ok.
