I have a friend (female obviously) that I am attracted to and that I like. I have known her since middle & high school. We never dated and we are good friends. Now, after college we hang out once in a while. We both enjoy each other's company. We get along great. She once told me that she couldn't see herself going out/dating me because she just sees me as a friend. Is there any way around this?

Dating will ruin your relationship as friends. It will never be the same again once you take it to the next level.

Decide carefully if you would rather risk your long term friend versus the chances that the two of you will kick it off romantically.

If you decide to go for it then openly express your feelings for your friend. "I think I am falling for you, (her name)."
