Friends - January 2007

OK, I'm 14 and I was sitting at a table with my friends and next to me was this girl-who I noticed is always sitting by herself. (She's been at school for a week and 1/2 now maybe.) Everybody acts as if she is not even there. I want to make friends with her but I don't know how I should do it.

So how should I go about getting to know her? What should I say to her? I don't want to make her even uncomfortable than she already seems to be.

I just moved to a new school. I was hoping I could make some friends in my class. but my class turned out to be very unfriendly to me. I need to make friends in this school. there's tons of people in this school that are suitable to be my friend, but I never have chance to communicate with them. I mean, you can't just go up to someone that doesn't know you and tell them you wanna be their friend. there has to be an opportunity for me and someone to get to know each other formally. For instance, if there's a guy you would like to hang out with, how can you make that happen without obviously showing that's what purpose is?

THere'a guy who doesn't know any one in my class, but he stopped by a few weeks ago to compliment on our decorated classroom AND the food on the desk. Since then he stops by from time to time to have a small talk with me. When he sees me outside the classroom in the corridor, he says hi or have a nice weekend to me. ANd we always have eye contact. Most of the time he starts the small talk, and he did something quite interesting yesterday after class. He walked by my classroom with a friend, and he said bye to me. He was actually heading towards the elevator with his friend, and he walked back to me when his friend stopped to talk with an Australian guy. I was still in the classroom, and he walked towards me asking me about some cheese cracker I shared with a few people. He wanted a bite, and I gave him the whole peace. I don't know what all this means! Is he simply being friendly? THanks for your help. I appreciated it.

3 of my friends are planning to runaway tonight. 2 of them are my best friends. i can't let them go! they say they have bad lives. psshhh ya right. all my friends were crying today because of it and we were also crying because one of our other friends had her last day @ school today because she is moving to colorado. (were in cali.) i don't know how to keep them from running away. i mean i just lost 1 friend i dont want to lose 3 more!!!!! please help!
i've called them and emailed and IMed they won't answer. and 1 of them is extremely determined to do it and she always does what she sets her mind to! help!!!!!!!!!

One of my best friends boyfriend might be going to jail for taking out his mom's car and accidentaly crashing it. His mom knows it was him and is still pressing charges. They really love each other and it would crush my friends heart if he went to jail. What can I say to make her feel better?

Ive been ignoring one of my "best" friends for weeks now. I have found a new group of friends that i have lots of fun with. My "best" friend is sooo incredibly boring i have more fun with her mother and i am just ready to get rid of her. My problem is what is the best way to get rid of her? on facebook, if you look at someones profile, do they know that your looking at it? cuase i accidently clicked on someones profile and i viewed it and then exited out. Then the person randomly friended me, so im curious to know if they somehow know that i visited their profile. I didnt friend request or poke them or anything.

My friend "Rainy" and my other friend "Cloudy" are going out. My other friend "Retard" told all of my friends including them that I wanted to steal "Cloudy" from "Rainy" when I was the one who set "Cloudy" and "Rainy" up! I already have the best boyfriend ever, so why would I want "Cloudy"??? Neither of them believe "Retard". She also told "Brit", "Cay" and "Stefani" they don't believe her either. "Retard" keeps saying that I stole the guy she liked last year from her (who didn't even like her to begin with) and she is saying that I'm trying to do the same thing to "Rainy". Now she is mad at everyone for not believing her when it's not true at all. She talks about me behind my back, and pretends like evrything is fine when she's around me! What should I say to "Retard" that would hurt her as much as she has been hurting me? I need serious help here folks.
