I just moved to a new school. I was hoping I could make some friends in my class. but my class turned out to be very unfriendly to me. I need to make friends in this school. there's tons of people in this school that are suitable to be my friend, but I never have chance to communicate with them. I mean, you can't just go up to someone that doesn't know you and tell them you wanna be their friend. there has to be an opportunity for me and someone to get to know each other formally. For instance, if there's a guy you would like to hang out with, how can you make that happen without obviously showing that's what purpose is?

try joining some groups or clubs, maybe play a sport, do something that other people will admire you for and hard times making friends would just become a thing of the past

Listen in to conversations to find out what people are into.
Example:
Say that you found out that sombody likes soccer, watch a few soccer games, then go up to him/her and say somthing about one of the games like, "Hey, did you see the game yesterday? (team a) vs. (team b)." Thay will poboble say, "Yea! Its was so close."

Well, friends that will always be there for you will come to you and welcome you. Just try asking a homework question, as well as others, and lead your way into the conversation. Not before long you will be friends, and with this method you will be sure to make many.

hmmm..well..you know what..just be friendly..actually im a new student in a school here in Canada and in fact I just moved here..but I got a lot of friends in the first day of school..well...my classmates are pretty snob..but probably its just their first impression of me...
being friendly is from your confidence!!so all i could tell you is to be confident..be proud of what you are and what you have..believe in your self!!thats where confidence start!!i mean..i think you already have confidence you'll just have to improve it!!gud luck!

is there some sport or club you can join that they are in? are there any places to go after school that you might run into them without being too obvious?
