how long does it take to really know if they are a true friend?

This is for a project:
ok, you and ur gf/bf are in a really bad fight during your date at a restraunt. The last words you said to your bf/gf before they drive off were "I hate you we're through." or another form of hateful words just as bad. Five seconds late, ur bf/gf gets into a freak car accident which results in a coma. How would you feel?

My best friend,we've been friends for years, we're really close but sometime's she ignores me when someone else is there.
She knows I love her to bits(I'm not a lesbian). But whenshe really needs something of me we're so close then other time's I feel left out because she'll ignore me with other friends(they're my friends to).

I really dont know what to do. Should Ileave her and go my own way and let a friendship like that go away. Or should I tell her.
I'm really confused.......I dont know what to do.
I dont really want to tell her that 'Oh why do you keep on ignoring me' because she could think that am to clingy andam nothing without her.

I am just wondering if i give you something like this for your birthday would you like it? why?

it has a silver cylindrical base with lights changing at middle on the top face of the cylinder. Then, there's a rectangular prism-shaped glass with an image inside... so when u plug it in.. the lights would change, changing the color of the image and there's a rotation on it as well.

She's so special to me & the only friend that bothers to keep in touch & I make extra effort to keep in touch with her too.

For my birthday she got me a 1930's dressed manequin that was an earring holder to put all my jewellery on & I though it was excellent but I don't think I can replicate that creativity & thoughfullness with the money I have.

Last year I got her some earrings she really wanted & a large bottle of Baileys because she loves it but I'm completely stuck this year.

I really can not spend more than £10, I don't have a job right now so I think she'll understand if it's not spectacular but I want her to know I care.

ANY suggestions???

Rather personal i suppose but im confused. I started sixth form this year and everyone has matured etc etc. So i told my closest friends including my bets friend that im gay. I feared telling my best friend, so i told him second. But everything is fine, but it feels too fine if that makes sense? It's a bit of an anti-climax. Nothing has changed, I even feel close to my bets friends than ever before.

But the thing that is effecting me as such is that the subject seems taboo. I can't really bring it up, and when i say little jokes about it (I study English lit and brought up that an army of 100 men would eb my cup of tea) the mood changes. I know my friends till care for me because when I was punched waiting for a bus, they got really defensive etc and worried because they thought it was connected.

But how do i bring it up? I think they need reassuring, but i don't know how to do it. Sorry i've gone on a bit, but i don't really have anyone to talk to and it's getting me down.

(I am 13) I lhad liked this guy for about 4 months. It was the summer, and we were on the track team together, and for the first few weeks he ignored me like he usually did when we were in school, but then when track was almost over, he started flirting with me... a lot. After track ended, I was getting really worked up, because I was positive that he liked me back and I thought I had blew it by not telling him that I liked him, so I called him and told him. He said he didn't like me back. Though I was confused, I accepted it. But now that we're back in school, he won't talk to me, and when I try to talk to him, he usually just tries to end the conversation as fast as possible. I don't like him anymore and I really just want to be friends with him, but he keeps pushing me away. What gives?

I bought my best friend a shirt and some jewelry.
I bought her parents a coffee gift basket.
Now comes the hard part:
buying a christmas present for her siblings...all 6 of them, without going overboard. Ron and Kiley are about 4(girl) & 3(girl), Molly(girl) is about 6, Walker(boy) is about 8, Jay(boy) is like 13, and Bailey is(a girl) 16. What could I buy (I'm just going to Wal-Mart for this) for each of them that they all would like, without spending over $20, or does Wal-Mart have any in-store gift baskets that would satisfy such a need?

Thanks a million in advance and I hope you guys don't have any such complications while Christmas shopping!
