I just got back from a swim meet and i didnt do so well. On top of that, my dad put me down a lot about how i swim. Also, he connected my swimming inconsistency with my grades at school which arent that bad at all. Im getting a 3.4 GPA right now and taking all honors but my parents (dad especially) make it seem like im failing everything and will never succeed or go to college. Im so sick of them. He always argues about the same thing time after time and we never reach any conclusions. He says that he listens but he never actually does. Also, my date for a dance to whom i was really sweet and nice to continued to say bad things about me which she started a really long time ago. Im really nop up to this bs cuz im used to being nice and im really disturbed at the fatc thta my kindness was not appreciated. How do i stop this crap? Im so sick of everybody! I always get put down and never encouraged by my own parents. Wtf should i do?

I am 38.. Females below 20 years in age call me Papa and talk to me as if they were my kids, they share all their emotions and seek advice... those aged 20+ to 45 say that they have a nice friend in me, they flatter me all the time and those aged above 45 pull my cheeks as if I were a kid... I love all these relationships and have no complaints...

Well heres the deal i want tips to not be shy in front of guys.I am never shy around girls cuz they're my friends.I have guy friends but im not like as loud or bad in front of them.If i tell any guy i watch scary movies which i luv they wont believe me i want them to know that im not shy and they think of me really different.I have 2 sides of i just get nervous when it comes to talk to guys.Well guys still like me but i dont like the shy and quiet side of me!

we've been friends for years but...and this is the confusing part...i'm still friends with someone who supposedly did something to her because the person who did something to her was one of my closest friends when i was still friends with my bf and my bf wanted me to shoose to be friends with her or ANYONE else, so i said i couldn't choose between friends and she walked off in a huff and flipped me off! should i try and make amends or is it useless?

I was just thinking about how few of my good friends I've stayed close with since high school, and it got me thinking, do you end up having less friends than you did as a kid as you grow up? And that made me wonder, how many friends the average person has. So, what's your guess? How many friends does the average person have? haha once I was at a basket ball game, and there was this girl in front of my who had a HUGE butt crack showing. So me and my friend took little bits of granola bar, and we started throwing them at her, seeing if they could go in. that sounds stupid, but it was so funny, especially because the girl didn't notice, and there was a lot of granola in her crack. wonder if she was confused later on? lmao.

ok. i have this really annoying friend, for ex. she'll say my name like a milion times and then go "hi" and she always asks me to ask her to spend the night. and recently i was going to a concert and she bought a ticket without me knowing and she goes well my mom cant take me to the concert...guess your gonna have to. My best buddy is coming down to stay with me this weekend at college. Both of us have basically NO MONEY. I can't pay for anything, and he can't pay for anything. I basically have to save up my meals all week just so that he can have something to eat here. I have twelve dollars that we are going to use to go to a club one night, and of course we will watch a movie or two. So, other than that, what is there to do? I don't want him to get bored and leave. What do you do when you don't have any money? (Neither of us like to drink)

BTW, my school is out in the middle of nowhere, there aren't any malls for about 45 minutes and there's not that much to do anyways even when there is money.

Ok, my bf and I have been going out like i dont know...3 weeks? and yeah, we hug and hold hands and i kiss him/or he kisses me on the cheek afterschool but I feel very uncomfortable if people are there (which they usually are ) I'm not a fan of the PDA...annddd...i know he wants to kiss, but I would really appreciate it if it didn't have to happen when there's people around. school is the place when we could see eachother cuz i doubt my parents want me to have a bf...im 15 lol

yeah, it's not my FIRST kiss...but it is with him. and like....i get frustrated at myself because i feel like he's not asking for much, yet im not giving that much to him. get it?

I'm not though, and that's the truth of the matter. I am unfortunately in a different living space than I was before, and all these new people think just because I stay at home and hardly go out, that I'm a recluse. But it all is because
1) I hate my roommates, so I don't hang out with them or go out with them
2) My real friends have their own places and I can't meet with them as regularly as before, although I do meet up with them on the weekends.
3) I am busy and thus, I don't have time to be too social.

But these idiots look at me weirdly and judge me without even knowing who I am, or who I was before I met them.

So am I a recluse?

I am sending a hello note to a guy I used to be friends with in high school. He and I have lost touch since then, but recently he added me to his myspace, and we haven't sent messages yet, but of course we remember each other since we were such good friends in senior year. Help! I don't know what to do, because first of all, i invited five people over my house. the last person i invited said yes, so all of them are coming over. However, I thought I told my mom that I said FIVE instead of FOUR, so she thinks i'm inviting only four. But I can't just tell the fifth person an excuse because than she's going to tell the others that it's canceled, and than the other ones will say it's not canceled, and that will hurt her feelings! I can't cancel it either, because i have it all set up... what do i do!?
