She'll eventually grow out of this but you might want to distant yourself from her for a while. It will teach her to be independant. The Hawaii trip is going to be VERY expensive. I do not know very many of my friends that I would pay for their trip unless I was a millionair. Just talk about the funds issue and she should not be offended. If she gets offended then it is alot easier to break off the relationship.

Decline politely. Tell her you will be spending your holiday in Hawaii with your close family members who will be joining you there.

you need to be direct........let her know she is starting to smother you and to back off. Otherwise it is just going to get worse. She will get over it and if she respects you as much as she likes you then maybe direct is what you will need to do.
