Winning friends can be sooo easy but winning real ones are harder especially these days. Friendship should be tested with time in order to rule out the real ones. You have to be a good friend in order to win one.

Start by making one friend at a time. Just ask someone if they would like to go to a movie or party or skating or something fun. You could ask them if they want to come over to your house for awhile. It probably isn't a good idea to ask someone to spend the night the first time you do something with them. They would probably feel uncomfortable and say "no". If you can get just one friend, they probably have a friend and the next time ask both of them to do something. Don't be pushy and don't take it personal if they say "no". Making friends is about finding other people you feel comfortable being around. Just be yourself. They will either like to be around you or they won't.

Be yourself.... You can't buy friendship, or love for that matter. Be who you are and if people won't accept you for that then they're not worth having as "friends".
I don't have a lot of friends, but the ones I have have been there for me in good times and bad and they accept me the way I am and that's what really matters.

being cooler than them. whether its dressing better or playing a sport good, being funny helps. whatever it is it will attract people to you. making friends is easy but keeping them is hard. you may attract people to you but later they may drift away. so just make sure you share similar interests and goals.
