male/female and you thought for all the time you'd known them they where the opposite , you had told them all your darkest secrets and trusted them completely would this change your relationship?

....rather redefine your friendship. All that time u thought u were best friends, but now u have discovered that he/she is your best friend or atleast your friend (after all he/she was there to listen to u whenever u need her/him)..but that you are not her/his best friend (he/she doesn't trust you enough to let you know what she/he is).

Best friendship should be built upon trust, I don't think that it would be really the same.. If my best friend had kept that untold or untrue that would not be making things so clear to share everything along. Unless they had found out that they are not what they really think themselves are. Why they would have kept it like that all the time ?!

it shouldnt no matter the gender they are still the same person you shared good times with. dont feel like they were keeping a secret from you because you have to think of the mental issues they probably had to deal with and when someone changes their gender they usually want to keep the old them in the past

no my bestfriend just recently did this to me. it hurt me that she didn't trust me enought to tell me but it was cool. the messed up part was that i did alot of things in front of her i washed my privates in front of her i even had sex, changed my clothe told her every thing about me mean while she was keeping a secret from me but when i found out i didn't get mad and our friendship continued to be the same

Yes it would. How could I trust him/her after that. I could remain friendds but would never tell him /her anything anymore. just some chit chat.

It wouldn't matter to me cause a friend is a friend no matter the sex.
