Why do a lot of people insult those whose grasp of the English language is poor. Sureley this not their fault?
How would you feel, if abroad, people slagged you off just because you could not speak French, German, Italian etc correctly.
Give these people a break

Or will he lack something and look for it later on in life as he grows older? I have met plenty of men who were raised only by their mother and they have grew to become very refined and decent young men. Yet i've always noticed that there always seemed to be something that they felt like was missing in their lives, something only a father could give them.

This has been a on-going debate between my friends and I. while i think that it is wonderful for children to grow up with both "active" parents in the house, it isn't always going to happen like that. And just because a child grows up in a single parent home doesn't mean they will have more problems in life than that of one who has both parents. Let's look at it for a second. Say both parents live in the home yet , they argue, have little to no commnuication and are very emotionally unattached to one another. Or say a child has both parents in the home but one or both parents work more and spend time with their child less. Wouldn't this effect the child more than that of a child with only one active parent? My friends say a child in a two party home will grow up happier, I say lets look at it from all angles and then decide. What do you think?

Our friends came with my husband, myself and son to a park to play tennis. My son sat on a bench next to a statue of a soldier and my neighbours were laughing and saying: "Oh, look, he found a boyfriend...ha, ha, ha... " Prior to this, for the previous few days, my neighbours had been making jokes in bad taste about letting our son find his feminine side,,, My husband became particularly angry about this type of talk because they then went on to talk about transvetities, cross-dressers, ...I asked both my neighbours (who are husband and wife) not to talk like that, as it upset my husband very much. Despite this warning...they made that joke at the park and my husband is now furious. He wants to cut off all ties with them as he says that they are talking inappropriately in front of our ten year old son. This husband and wife couple have definitely been making jokes in bad taste - the husband immediately acknowledged this, but his wife is furious at my husband for blowing his top.
