Our friends came with my husband, myself and son to a park to play tennis. My son sat on a bench next to a statue of a soldier and my neighbours were laughing and saying: "Oh, look, he found a boyfriend...ha, ha, ha... " Prior to this, for the previous few days, my neighbours had been making jokes in bad taste about letting our son find his feminine side,,, My husband became particularly angry about this type of talk because they then went on to talk about transvetities, cross-dressers, ...I asked both my neighbours (who are husband and wife) not to talk like that, as it upset my husband very much. Despite this warning...they made that joke at the park and my husband is now furious. He wants to cut off all ties with them as he says that they are talking inappropriately in front of our ten year old son. This husband and wife couple have definitely been making jokes in bad taste - the husband immediately acknowledged this, but his wife is furious at my husband for blowing his top.

Well this is very upsetting and your husband is right
Remember your son could hear this joke and become
Very upset about it and you will never know because kids
don't talk with parent much about this kind of subject this could be a problem for him I mean your son in the future
and upset him if she want to be your friend it best for her to cut the joke and the talk and let the kid be a kid because they grow up so fast and out of our life so quick ,
AND YES YOUR HUSBAND IS RIGHT

I would probably react with a Zidane head butt. But seriously, I have never been one to hold my tongue and I would probably let them know that I have strong objections to this type of humour. It is distasteful and hateful and should never be tolerated. If they continue, then they are not worth my time or day.

I would call the police they are breaking the law by talking to a minor like that and it's a form of harassment and I would press charges.

You do not need friends like that! An adult who teases a child that way is SICK!!!!! Your husband is correct he should be mad as hell...good for him! Your neighbors are A$$HOLES! Don't see them anymore...show your son you are on his side!!!

If that is the case then don't show that it bothers you they will soon get bored with it if they don't see the desired response. After all they are just neighbors that can be avoided or I should hope you can avoid them.

Hey, its your kid and you have the right to raise him how you want. If you dont want him subjected to that type of material then you have every right to not want him to hear it. So talk to them about it or cut bait and run.
