Neither. I would listen to my gut instincts. When I was younger I followed my heart on issues, and that led to some bad choices. Then I listened to other people with the same bad results. As a mature man, I now listen to my gut instincts, and have come a long way, and have even become more successful in life, love, and general happiness.

To both. Identify which of these people can be trusted and truly care about you, then consider their advise because they are looking at your question from an objective point of view and from their own experiences. That is very helpful in any decision. Of course, it's also very important to listen to your heart. However determine what it is your heart is really saying. It may not be your heart; could be just a passing fancy or a momentary yearning. Good luck.

Sometimes other people see things that our hearts don't. Listening to your heart has always gotten me in trouble somewhere down the road and I have to admit that people were right about what they saw. I still say listen to your heart but open your eyes too.

You need to listen to you gut. As I've grown older I look back at all the bad decisions I've made and regrets and there is one thing in common, I didn't listen to myself. Your best bet is to spend sometime alone and think about what you truly want to do if you didn't care about what other people would say about it or how they would react.
Even if what ever you decide doesn't come out as planned you will never think what if and sometimes that is your biggest regret in life, not living it to the fullest. Listen to yourself that little voice is there for a reason. Get in touch with your soul and you will live a fuller and deep life.

This is a hard question. On one hand, you cannot live in fear of what others will think; however, a wise person has many conselors.
As for listening to your heart; it is a desire factory that can lie to you about all kinds of things. If i listened to my heart i'd be doing some really stupid things lately.

I like to get other people's opinions on things, but eventually I do what my heart tells me anyway. I've had friends say, "I don't know why you are asking me, you're going to do what you want anyway" and that's the truth. I'm not suggesting that using just your heart and not your head is always the best way because sometimes it isn't, but for me, it's awfully difficult not to follow my heart.

Depends on who the other people are. If the other people are your parents than listen to them they have more life experience and want the best for you. Pick smart wise older folks if you need help on a decision and then think about it a while before you make that decision. I think it was Solomon that said the decisions that he made without the help of other folks turned out to be the worse ones.

The only way to be happy and to live the life you were born to live, is to listen to your heart. Other people cannot speak for you!

You always listen to your heat not what other people say because they don't know what you have in your heart.

Depends. If you are being abused in a relationship or something, then I suggest you leave if that is what "they" are telling you.
Under normal, non-violent, situations don't listen to anyone but yourself. When there is violence involved people tend to not be able to view the situation clearly.
