thought about writing him..but i don't know how he will react-as about 8 years ago I got divorced from his uncle on bad terms and I disappeared into thin air (no contact whatsoever)....I got along great with the newphew though, should I write him a message and let him decide if he wants to be friends or not?

If you want to contact him, go for it... But if you disappeared and never wanted to be found...You might consider leaving it alone for now.

I would unless it will put you in danger of the uncle you divorced. I am sure your ex newphew will understand why you didn't have any contact with him or anyone else. Maybe he wonders how your doing and wish he could contact you but doesn't know how.

You should make your own decisions and not take people's advice for they won't be responsible should things turn out otherwise.....in any case; these are lessons in life's journey.

I would go ahead and contact him... Worst case is that he doesn't write back.. or you just disappear again... Whats it hurt?

yes, i have found some old people I knew in High School and thought they would not talk to me but they did....give it a try all he can do is ignore you!
