Television - 17 January 2007

I've often wondered why it is called reality TV, when clearly there is nothing real about it. I'm not just talking about BB this includes all the other sh!t like jungle.

Surely programmes like dispatches and panorama are reality TV, seeing as they educate us about various different stories that happen across the world?

She is up for eviction with Shilpa and despite thousands of complaints to ofcom WE have to pay to phone to get a racist bully out. It should at least be a free phone number, I vote every week but really find it appaulling that all complaints are being ignored. Chuck out all the bullies and send a message to the world!

I thought that the three witches who have been bullying shilpa were just showing how thick they all really are. I didnt know if it was cultural ignorance or racist. After watching the show last night and hearing what danielle said -she should f-off back home. Is this racist? I think so. Shilpa is representing her country in a good light and these three witches should be punished. this is mild racism although it is out of order I have seen far worse. what do you think?

evict Jade (pigface) Danielle and Jack NOW to show the rest of the world that (most) of us Brits will not tolerate racism ? I know its all everyone seems to be talking about at the moment but i am so ashamed of them all as are many people .. The Anti Bullying organisation has dropped her why can`t channel 4 ? She as a so called celeb should be setting examples as many young girls probably like her . I myself have stopped watching BB as she and her klingons were becoming unbearable to watch ..

If anyone who has anything to do with Channel 4 reads this i think you should seriously consider kicking them out now or pull the plug on this particular CBB ..

When those particular 3 come out i hope their so called work dries up and Teddy dumps that dumba,ss Danielle ... then we`ll see who gets the last laugh ...

I've not watched BB so maybe its not housemates votes which decide who are up for eviction.

If its votes... I wonder which celebs voted for Shilpa to be evicted and which celebs voted for Jade to be evicted.

Can anyone tell me which celebs, if any, have voted for Shilpa to be evicted before ?

The first sign we had of a problem regarding people in the House's attitude towards Shilpa, after Jackiey (NOT a Shilpa fan) left the house, was Jack saying how much he hated Shilpa to Jade. After Carole left, Danielle gravitated to Jade - a great mate, she alleges (though I'd not noticed so before) and now both Danielle and Jade, with the collusion of Jo on at least one occasion, seem to have it in for Shilpa. What are your views on this? Are both Jo and Danielle being really two-faced to Shilpa too when not with Jade? Perhaps you think they are justified in this dislike?

you pay all that money just for the bbc whose programmes are rubbish anyway. all the other channels are paid for by adverts. if we can put up with adverts on the other channels, then we can put up with adverts on the bbc as we are used to it. sky have adverts every 15 minutes and they pay for the sky too yet we still have to pay sky as well so they get double money for their programmes from us. if you have sky then you know their adverts are more often than the tv channels. if we have to put up with sky's frequent adverts then i am sure we can put up with the bbc adverts and get rid of the tv licence

Shilpa - bullied or racially abused? Shilpa was told by Jermaine that what was going on was racism - now she seems to think so too - despite Cleo insisting to her that it isn't. Is what has happened to her racism or "just" bullying (and not actually racism)? What do you think?

why are people jumping on the band wagon about jade,jo and danielle about racism. dont you think it is just a severe case of clash of personality and a bit of a bullying going on. why do people of a different race other than white play the racist card at every turn, cant they accept a clash of opinions and culture, upbringing and manners, i have watched the show and as far as a can see shilpa is very patronising and pathetic when speaking to jade, so why should jade respect her. im not sayin i agree with the way jade spoke to her, but she dealt with it in the only way she knows how to, if anything jermain and shilpa are the 2 most racist people in the house.
