I was in a bathroom stall at the local Wendy's and in the stall was some writing that said: "Ronny McD hit up the Wendy chick ...... for a good time call 1-800-horny-clown"
later as I look down the stall it said:

"P.S. the Wendy chick has crabs now"

Doesn't stuff like that disturb you???

We accept that there are billions of stars, because someone else tells us

We accept the religious acts of others, thousands of years ago because someone tells us

Yet, some one tells us "watch out for the wet paint" or leaves a sign on it, do you always run your finger on it to see whether it is still wet?

Who here was spanked as a child...?
I mean swatted as a consequnce, not savagely or needlessly beaten. For those of you who were spanked as a child, do you think it had any negative effects on you? I was spanked when I was young, always with an explanation of what I did wrong, and why it was wrong. I'm now a loving mother, and I look back and see that spanking didnt hurt me in any way. I grew up in a loving home, and usually just a warning did the trick for me, but sometimes I just needed a swat, and I even KNEW i did. Does anyone out there think that spanking had a negative effect on them? What were your experiences?

-Experiences with YOUR children dont count, unless they are grown. Otherwise, you dont really know HOW they turned out, do you? I am asking for YOUR experience. Thanks! Just trying to get some insight.

Okay, I had trouble knowing where to post this: "relationships", "pregnancy" , "mental health".. And I figured I'd get a wide range of answers from P&S.

I love my bf to bits, but since I got pregnant, all this stuff about him is bugging me, like:

-He eats left-handed but does everything else right-handed.
-He always goes for a number 2 after we've settled in bed to sleep.
-He moans incessantly when he feels a bit ill.
-When I ask him whats wrong, he always says "nothng", but later goes on to say something like "My mum died 6 months ago today". Well WHY DIDNT U TELL ME!!??

(Sorry!)

It's not that they are really important things, or stuff I'd ever leave him over, I just wonder if anyone has been in a similar situation?

Could it be pregnancy hormones? Am I just being horrible?

I'm forever hearing people bleating on about how we "must protect the children". Everything I do, it seems, harms children, smoking, swearing, having a sense of humour etc. etc.

The other day, on this very site, someone told me they wished I would burn in hell. The same person also answered another question saying "we must protect the children".

Now, I'm only 27, but I used to be part of "the children". So at what point, exactly, did I turn from someone who "must be protected" to someone you would like to see burn in hell?

Is that ALL children or just me?
