Like you swore the lead singer sang something but it was just too weird, and it turned out it was something completely different?

Like I heard John Fogerty sing "There's a bathroom on the right" when it was suppose to be "There's a bad moon on the rise" in Bad Moon Rising

Examples?

I was only 10 at the time (1987 or 1988) when there was this song that I liked. It is a pop/ Top 40s kind of song that mentioned Romeo and Juliet. I don't remember any other of the lyrics but any serious answers will be appreciated!

It was released in the early to mid 90's.
It goes
"Lap dance table top,
Get it, Get it girl
Don't stop"
It was a male group. They rap most of it but sort of harmonized in the hook.

Many musical artists are known for their political stances and/or lyrics. Some are not, necessarily, but they write a song on a particular subject that is close to their heart.

Have the lyrics of any song on a specific political, religious, or social topic ever altered your views on that topic?

Fans only please....Are you a fan of the Dixie Chicks? Did you like them before their latest CD "Taking the Long Way" or are you a new fan? Have you seen the movie "Shut Up & Sing" and what did you think of it?

I've been a fan since 1999, I didn't like them at first because I thought they were very overrated, but then I listened to them--they write their own songs and play their own instruments, and Natalie Maines has the most AMAZING voice. I love their latest CD, I think it's their best by far and I am SO GLAD they are still around. I look forward to more music from them.

I saw the movie a few weeks ago and I loved it--a very interesting story of how the media controls our airwaves and televisions...hopefully not our minds.

If you're not a fan, please move on to the next question.

2. Barbra Mandrell.
3. Connie Smith.
4. Reba McEntire.

Many artists are known for having a specific cover song as part of their nightly setlists. Sometimes, however, a curveball is thrown at the audience, and they serve up a very unexpected (and rockin') surprise.

Have you ever been privy to such a thing, and if so who was it and what was the cover?
