I have a real problem. In a month I will be moving into my new flat with new housemates. The problem is that we haven't met properly and so they don't know I'm a bassist.
I'm not going to be in the house a lot of nights either due to band and also will be practicing in the flat.
How do I explain to them when we finally meet that I am a musician and so will need practice time and that I am in band and so won't be in some nights?
How should I deal with confrontations and anyone who objects to me playing?
I don't want it to go from being friendly to being really awkward because I am a bassist.

I am reading "How Equal Temperament Ruined Harmony and Why You Should Care", and I *seem* to recall that one of the synth manufacturers had a keyboard that could be tuned to all of the above tunings and/or temperaments, plus several more. Am I a delusional theorist - or does any one KNOW which it is/was?

I have an Ampeg BA-115 using a Fender Jazz bass and I'm sick of messing around with the EQ trying to get that "perfect sound". Does anyone have and suggestions about where I should set the low, mid, and high ends to get a real quality sound? Is there a lot of different settings depending on the type of music you play? What is a good general setting?
