These are basically the music that i listen too & i can't find out what genre it is.
like new wave, indie rock.
basically it sound like its from the late 70's but most aren't.

For me:

Saosin- "Voices": "We speak in different voices (I thought it was "desperate voices"

AFI-Silver and Cold (I could never understand what he was saying)-"Your sins into me" (I thought it was "lost in" something something)

Big Yellow Taxi-"Parking Lot" "put up a parking lot" (I thought it was f***ing love)

No Doubt-"Spider Webs" - "It's all your fault, I screen my phone calls" (I thought it was "scream my balls off")

The Matches- "Audio Blood" (I thought it was "All of your blood")

HIM- "Wings of a Butterfly"- "Wrip out the wings of a butterfly" (I thought it was "We've got the wings of a butterfly")

I gave up on Metallica after St. Anger and started listening to real metal. But after reading some interviews of the band I think the next album is going to be a lot better. Kirk said that the music is sounding very similar to the first 5 albums and that they have "really fast and heavy songs". And this time they are actually going to put solos in the songs. I'm not going to get too excited about it, but I think they learned their lesson from St. Anger and are taking their time for this one (The release date is set for early 2008). I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
