So I realized a few weeks ago that I'm using way too much pressure to play high notes on my trumpet, so I back off the hand pressure and noticed a good difference in tone and everything, but my lips got tired faster. I figured it was the muscles getting used to less pressure on the mouth, but this week I haven't been able to really hit anything about a G. I think I used to have an open embachure and now I'm switching to a closed one, but it's a rough change. I'm practicing like crazy this week because I NEED to have a high D by numerous concerts and recitals in the coming weeks. If anyone has tips as to how long this change will take before I can play high again or tips as to excercises to work my lips, please gimme some help here.

The lyrics go like: "I like the way you this but its not say-ay-ayane" The say-ay-ayane part is just the word sane stretched out. The tune is very mellow. This would really helped if I knew the name, thank you!!! =)

I just got the John Fogerty greatest hits albums about a week ago from Borders (grew up on him/CCR but had no CDs for them before).

I've had the following songs stuck in my head through the week.

So which is the catchiest (not necessarily best, but which do you have in your head now?) Any of these, or none of the above?

... and what's your favorite (need not be any of these)?

I'm looking to buy a guitar and I will be just beginning to play. I'm actually a drummer and am not even sure if I will like playing the guitar, so I don't want to put much money into the guitar itself. I have looked on Ebay and noticed there are several acoustic guitars that they are selling cheaply, by the brand names of Cutaway, Bridgecrraft, and Sunburst. I need to know if these guitars are acceptable for a beginner, and if not, what brands are good to go with (easy to play for a beginner) that won't end up costing me too much. Thanks!
