I'm looking to buy a guitar and I will be just beginning to play. I'm actually a drummer and am not even sure if I will like playing the guitar, so I don't want to put much money into the guitar itself. I have looked on Ebay and noticed there are several acoustic guitars that they are selling cheaply, by the brand names of Cutaway, Bridgecrraft, and Sunburst. I need to know if these guitars are acceptable for a beginner, and if not, what brands are good to go with (easy to play for a beginner) that won't end up costing me too much. Thanks!

Although it may be easier and cheaper to buy off of Ebay, I would go to a music store so you can look at them with a hands-on test. They all have different size and width necks, so you may want to check this out in a real world situation, so you won't have to send it back, like if you bought it on Ebay. Or check out some of the brands you have seen in a hands on demo and then go back to Ebay and purchase the closest thing you have loooked at.

Yamaha makes some real nice acoustic guitars, that are not too expensive,Epiphone also makes some nice ones, but an acoustic can be tough on the fingers at first until you develop calluses on your finger tips, maybe try an inexpensive electric, Fender, and Epiphone make some really nice ones.

If you want to start playing guitar i would say to forget about acoustic and to get an electric.

go to a vintage guitar shop and ask someone there, you can find very nice guitars for not much money just because they have some scratches and imperfections
