I am going to get an acoustic/electric guitar, but I don't know what brand I should get. Do I need to get a turner? What about instructional DVD's? I'm going to be buying an electric guitar and amp soon, and I was curious if I should get something like an Epiphone SG or Les Paul guitar with a 15 watt no-name practice amp, or get a 80 watt Marshall with an average Yamaha student guitar? Is it the guitar or the amp that makes the most difference for sound quality?

I am looking for an old saxophone in particular but any woodwind that has been bashed/ droped/ in very bad state. its just so i can learn to take it apart and learn what each part is iv tried all the schools and music shops with no luck .I live in the peterborough area east anglia uk and i would be happy to come and collect so please have alook in you loft or shed it really dosent matter how bad it is even an old clarinet would get me started.thankyou Tom.
