I often wonder what the artist meant when they created a song. A lot of songs have hidden or obscure meanings or meant something personal to the artist. I.E. What exactly is "Hotel California" about, lol So many argue about it! Is there a compiled website where questions like these are answered by either research or by the artists themselves?

On my way home last night, I heard this song that was about a soldier talking to his wife/girlfriend and I can't remember all of the words, but he talked about fighting to get back to her, and the last words in the chorus were 'all we see is the red, white, and blue (I THINK) it also mentions him having his brother's back and them having his...does this ring bells for anyone? Please help! I have soldiers (close friends and family) in Iraq and would love to let them hear this song!

Hi all,
Tomorrow is MY BIRTHDAY!!!
Yes..... (eh-hem) 44 years ago I was "planted" upon the earth. Personally, I would have chosen a more hospitable planet. :-')
I am asked by a local radio station to choose ANY song for them to play in my honor.
Normally, I listen to local C&W stations. Normally, my tuner is set to any ABC radio affiliate. I enjoy hearing PAUL HARVEY reports.

With these bits of info, I need some song suggestions to request. I prefer songs with a true tempo that rings in my heart when I sing karaoke.
I do have a few LP albums (see how old I am?) of Kenny Rogers and Alabama.
I also have a CD by Allen Jackson and Kenny Chesney when I feel like singing in my yard. - So far, my neighbors have not yet complained.
I appreciate any suggestions.
(When asked "how many?" - I reply "Old enough to know better. but still young enough to enjoy it....")

I heard it on an American television network during the year 2000 milennium celebration. It was a punk rock or alternative band playing the old standard "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." I think I was watching the New Year Celebration in Australia when I heard it. I have searched for years and have come up empty handed. If anyone can help I would really be thankfull.
