There's an Elvis Costello song that has that type of lyric in it, but that would be 1980's. Unless you are thinking "and her name was Lola" which is Copacabana by Barry Manilow (1970's).

There are other songs I could recommend that put you in a good mood from several decades....

I believe that you are thinking of '..and her name was Gloria!'
That was done by Van Morrisson in the 1960's and is stll popular today.
The song title is 'Gloria'.

I love anything by CCR especially Suzy Q, it makes me move my head back and forth and sing really loud and badly
