Those are all great! I have to add, in no particular order -
1) The Who (Pete Townsend, I mean no brainer)
2) The Beatles
3) Aerosmith (do those guys have great perservatives or what)
4) Rolling Stones
5) Queen (why does everyone forget them?)
6) Black Sabbath (OZZY!)
7) Metallica

I second that notion, about zeppelin being the greates band ever. I have to disagree on the runners up but atleast we agree on zeppelin right?

all those bands are great...add the dead,the who,beatles,black sabbath,allman bros,ccr,cream,alice cooper,ten years after,byrds the band,davie allan and arrows,blue cheer,yardbirds kinks,dick dale and deltones,bill haleys comets and many others the best band or artist is the one who sounds good in the moment
